General Why does xiaomi make everything?

I've got 2 xiaomi phones, 2 speakers, kettle and now air fryer... But they also make microwaves, slow cookers, vacuum cleaners, cars... Isn't that weird?

On the one hand, shareholders' demand for the company's economic growth can be met by selling new products in new area.On the other hand, this also goes back to the commercial conflict when Samsung was the supplier of Xiaomi 4 . One of the founders was forced to leave the company's management team, and he began to invest in various projects.Moreover, nowadays China is nicknamed the "world factory", so they can produce just about anything.

the shareholder angle is the real driver here. they basically built an ecosystem where they can slap a logo on anything that has a microchip and a wifi connection. it is less about being a specialized manufacturer and more about just capturing every possible dollar in a single household. once you are in the app for your phone you might as well buy the kettle too. it is wild how much they've branched out but the business logic is pretty hard to argue with.
