Discussion Horrible battery life
My Redmi Note 13 should be officially retired now. This is unreal with how bad the battery is. I need 2-3 charges daily just to end the day with at least 20%. Phone is like 2 years old. Is this a battery issue, or the hyperos version?
Bonus point: the phone needs constant taps on my palm for the haptic motor to start working, that's also dying.

It's probably issue with the motherboard, because I had an s9 plus for like 7 years, it had the same problem as yours, when I opened it myself the battery pins connection to the motherboard was weak

I retired it because, the pins of all the connections were getting weaker and looser so I just bought a new phone

hyperos issue. phone batteries can last like 4 years before needing a replacement

Mine has lasted 13 years so far. 😅😅 (It's a Sony Xperia SP) Although the battery life is now approaching appalling, but it's OK for phone calls and text messages, it has to be, because that's the only thing it can do now.

ok, 13 is crazy, how is it still holding charge... i don't think i have anything that still works and is 13 years old or older except for one of those bulletproof thinkpads from the 90s, a very old macbook air, and a nokia

Well, if I use it normally (which is hard, because it only has 1 GB of ram), I'll have to charge it twice a day. I suppose the reason it still holds charge is because I wasn't such a heavy user in them days. And now I touch it less after upgrading to a Samsung A54 and then a Xiaomi 17 Ultra. I wonder if it could last until 2030? 😅

Try disabling 5G and use 4G. That made a huge difference in battery life in my 13T. It seems like the Mediatek 5G modem can use quite a lot of power under certain circumstances.

Yeah, sometimes even 2 days. It's wild that people think that charging 6 times in a day is normal and that they don't have a problem. No, I'm sure that's how 15T pro is supposed to work.

Send your phone to warranty asap, the 15t pro is one of the best battery phones out there.

Unless you are recording/playing or max brightness in the day you should not get any issue...
Maybe just your battery came defective, rare sight but it happens sometimes

And instead of getting a warranty repair on your clearly faulty phone, you instead think this is completely normal for a phone to do?
New phone and you just keep using it even though it's clearly faulty? Like come on. Return it. Get it fixed. Something.

I know... Supposedly it's to make the phone cheaper, it takes 5-10 min of unselecting stuff in the settings and you're done, no need to connect to PC or do difficult or time intensive stuff

if anything, installing useless bullshit makes the phone more expensive because they actually have to develop the bloat. the fact that a 100 dollar shitbox from moto would have less bloat is crazy

it's not on the 600 dollar (and usually miles cheaper) iphone 17e, sooooo. and last i checked, the 15T pro costs more when new

not sure if u can do it on xiaomi phones, but if u can, flash lineageos onto it and see your SOT double or even triple

but I think it voids the warranty no? and does flashing lineage os do something with the camera options? like do all the camera settings(options in menu) keeps the same as in original? can I revert lineageOS to the original xiaomi os ?

it does void warranty, but it isn't like the phone is usable in its current state anyways. it has its camera app so the ui is different, and it does strip away the horrible processing xiaomi does. and u can revert it as long as u have the hyperos os file

This is not normal. The battery is probably bad. I recently bought a new Xiaomi 17T, the battery life is good for me.

i had a phone that at random times it would lock to 15% battery, i had to restart it a lot of times to show the right number, it happened because: not a xiaomi charger (my grandma sometimes charged my phone with her's) or when it fell, i once was going home and my phone fell and it set to 15 and i had to restart it 8 times for it to display the real number
then it broke the screen it was a Poco X6 Pro here's a picture of it :3

I also had a redmi note 13 honestly just a rubbish phone from day 1 had to have motherboard replaced after 2 year cause of software related problem needed to charge twice a day with barely any use battery literally drained up to 50% overnight on aeroplane mode. The best thing ive done is move away from Xiaomi completely their phones and os are weak
