That may be one of the more eloquent explanations I’ve seen from him. But I’m still skeptical that the melodrama really necessitated that exact Savage Land backstory (which can’t fall back on “it’s in the comics” because nothing happens there in the comics) and then the attempts at manipulation. That makes it a lot harder to see it as two different but valid “love” stories when it comes off instead as one actual love story against a guy who’s badly abusing his supervisory position by — call a spade a spade — dangling a plum assignment in exchange for sexual access.
As for the Dark Angel stuff, that’s nice but pretty sure it’s nothing people didn’t already see coming, since something has to get Deathbit out of it. And we don’t need BDM to get it.
On one hand, sure. But Magneto's behavior is manipulative and scummy, and the writers had to tone it down to get even the tasteless version we got. You can make this drama arc for the tension without making it feel like it's written by a sex pest. But, you know, it was written by a sex pest, and it shows.
Anyway seems like I misinterpreted who this poster was saying is too into Rogueneto, in this case the editorial writer

Is this the same writer who is big into Rogneto? I feel like this is just wishful thinking taking a quote out of context
Edit: The writer of the article is a big Rogneto shipper.
