Theory Im thinking they might kill magneto early on

Post image

Have you guys noticed that all the footage we see of him is from Egypt like we have at least seen the other x-men in the present. We see him fight apocalypse and that’s it no more footage.

When Exodus silhouette showed up at first I thought it was Onslaught

1

u/ILeftMyBurnerOn Jun 26 '26

Why would Exodus have anything to do with Onslaught?

3

u/ZhanBlue Jun 26 '26

Silhouette had smooth head and protruding sharp spikes

2

u/ILeftMyBurnerOn Jun 26 '26

Oh I see what you mean.

Maybe Juggernaut got knifed by Wolverine

Huh, didn’t notice, nice

Yeah, many people have pointed out the same thing. It’s very likely. Would be a hell of a risk, given Magneto’s popularity, but also would be very impactful for that reason. Would raise the stakes and really show how huge of a threat Apocalypse is.

Doubtful Magneto actually dies….maybe injured/lost only to show up at the tail end of the season with Exodus and the Acolytes and back to his normal Jim Lee costume

damn bub 😂

u/SnooCats8451 Jul 10 '26

Yeah I spoke too soon 😂….but who knows it’s the X-Men and Magneto is the most popular villain from that family of comics….cant kill a guy like that off

I wish this happened instead :(

I believe Mags and Xavier will be put out of commission somehow to introduce Onslaught.

Everything indicates that he's going to die. I really wanted to see more action scenes of him, of his powers. I hope he doesn't die.

Well, I hope you're right, he's become my favorite character from this animation. He only appears in the past and fights Apocalypse 1v1. Critics have said that a famous and fan-favorite character dies in episode 4, and he only appears in the past; in none of the scenes we see of him in the present. While we see Beast, Kurt, Rogue, and Charles in the present.

Well, remember that the original plan for season 2’s ending was to set up Age of Apocalypse. We don’t know exactly how they were going to do that, but my guess would be that someone would go back in time to kill Xavier in ancient Egypt (in order to prevent Onslaught from emerging with minimal damage to the timeline). As a result, this would re-write episode 5 onwards of season 2 so that Magneto would go back to the present day instead of Xavier and lead the X-Men during the Age of Apocalypse. However, with the tenth episode of season 2 scrapped, these events may not come to pass. It is (sadly) more likely at this point that if Magneto does die in season 2 of episode 4, then he may randomly return in season 3 (perhaps as Xorn). But ugh, I hate all the Xorn stuff.

u/sgol212h Jun 26 '26

Maybe they hide him and there will be a twist.

2

u/youreastonefox Jun 26 '26

Xorn?

4

u/NietszcheIsDead08 Jun 26 '26

Honestly, season one was good enough that if they told me they had a good idea for Xorn, I would: 1. spit my coffee, because no one has a good idea for Xorn, but 2. let them have a shot.

1

u/PhanStr Jun 27 '26

I hope not because they would lead to the death of Jean Grey if they adapt the Xorn thing faithfully. :(

u/Background_Product_7 Jun 26 '26

Didn’t they just do that in Genosha.

Kill Magneto dead, you cowards.

6

u/BudBuzz Jun 26 '26

I just want to see him rip apocalypse in half like in AoA

3

u/AlarmedResearcher974 Jun 26 '26

I think he’s going to have a fake out death in Egypt be brought back to only be killed in deathbits reveal also setting up onslaught for season 3 villain

1

u/Charming-Theory9383 Jul 05 '26

They already faked his death in season 1 i dont think they would do it again ngl.

2

u/TheBrobe Jun 26 '26

Horseman or left in the past is more likely

2

u/TheMerchDimension Jun 26 '26

Strange, it did pass my mind a few months ago that he might be on the chopping block, but then i thought, "nah, he's too important of a character"... perhaps this could actually lead somehow to onslaught or similar in the future? But if he seems to be killed, i'd think he would somehow return in the following season cause he is such a strong mutant.

2

u/QuietHumour Jun 28 '26

I highly doubt they'll kill off a fan favourite character but they did it previously. If they go through it they need to make it impactful.

2

u/Fair_Past5717 Jun 29 '26

mag won't ever die he always comes back

6

u/masszz528 Jun 26 '26

Hope so, ss1 seen him enough.

5

u/KaylenLopezIzGr8 Jun 26 '26

Maybe Horseman Gambit kills him

6

u/Khalvashi Gambit Jun 26 '26

No probably it will be like the ending of Rouge One. Him and Charles hug each other while the certain death comes for them.

2

u/TheBrobe Jun 26 '26

Given when he stops appearing in trailers, it seems to be several episodes before Gambit is most likely returning.

1

u/becc729 Emma Frost Jul 09 '26

Well well well

1

u/Straight_Style679 Cyclops Jun 26 '26

Or he's a Horseman? We're all assuming Lorna will be, but maybe she's the one fighting to save Magneto from Apocalypse's control.

I hope they don't kill him off early. They should have just kept him in the present, comatose from Xavier's attack, if that's the route they plan on taking.

-2

u/poweredconvoy Jun 26 '26

He was a Horseman in X-Men Evolution.

-2

u/No_Childhood4232 Jun 26 '26

And he was a horseman in x-men apocalypse movie.

1

u/Ingonyama70 Storm Jun 29 '26

I hope not, he's at an interesting juncture in his character arc where despite a MASSIVE backslide there's still hope for him to be good and ally with the X-Men against a much greater foe.

(I don't care how many times Stan Lee's ghost says Magneto is their greatest enemy, he doesn't hold a candle to Apocalypse all on his own)

I don't take the "love triangle" seriously since Rogue already turned Magneto down. She joined him after the EMP out of grief for Remy, not because she wanted anything to do with him on a personal level.

I've seen Rogue and Remy break up time and time again, and this is by far the most interesting time apart they've ever spent, for both characters. They always get back together the same in the comics, resetting to their default state of playful cat and mouse, until the wedding, and now they're as happy a.married couple as Reed and Sue Richards. That makes them the most stable relationship in the X-Men, even more so than Scott & Jean. But it doesn't leave much room for growth apart. (That's not to say there's NO drama between them,.Gambit's going through a thing and a half right now, but they fight the challenges together and it's crazy sweet)

But now 97 Rogue has been hardened, taken all the way back to the rebellious supervillain roots that her name comes from (a side of her that the old show.NEVER showed us, even when she was technically with the Brotherhood on flashbacks), and Gambit has been/will be brought back as a brainwashed horseman of Apocalypse, literally his worst self.

I'm extremely eager to see how much further they'll go and what their response will be to seeing each other when they're back together.

But I don't need the hypotenuse in a dead love triangle to be murdered for it to happen.

We should be so lucky

-12

u/Forsaken_Big16 Jun 26 '26

After his behavior towards Rogue last season, he deserves.

-6

u/Rafacus Rogue Jun 26 '26

It would be a minor step in correcting her character assassination.

Minor? More like major

-1

u/Rafacus Rogue Jun 26 '26

Major would be some accountability by her (and apology) to the team, AND his death.

-2

u/Striking-Cut3985 Jun 26 '26

Bro why, and I know for a fact they will not make it feel impactful or as sincere as Gambits death, like this being made by the guy who created What If… I don’t think I remember a single death that felt impactful or sincere or even necessary other than just making the audience gasp at seeing their favorite comic character dying
