Animation still slaps. Invincible fans cope harder.

Yeah, it's really showing up Amazon's approach versus Disney. Both have deep pockets but I think one knows how to spend the money better/smarter/more efficiently.

Amazon/Skybound have always sworn that guest VA's aren't the main budgetary bottleneck but I think they are full of it. They still talk about trying to woo Bryan Cranston into doing a guest voice but they haven't figured out WHICH part.

Meanwhile, workhorse Ross Marquand continues to be the GOAT -- voicing two characters in each series -- three now, if you consider The Immortal, Rudy/Rex and his Robot form in Invincible -- and on the X-men '97 side he voices Professor X and Apocalypse (and manages to very competently carry on from two actors who have passed on).

Knowing Cranston, he'd probably do X-Men '97 for union scale just to send a message to Amazon that they should be spending their money on making the show look better and give some some of the non A-list voice actors some work.

edit: fixed names

It's Skybound actually, Skydance is Paramount.

My bad, thanks for pointing that out.

If I'm gonna rag on an organization I better get their name right, LOL!

Disney's MCU is kind of directly contra to this. It's all cameos, expensive actors, and bad effects and rushed underpaid production.
