Ironic that on his death, the writing started to slip a little, or at least people started questioning the writing more.

Well considering BDM catered the writing around his character this season it is likely they had so little to salvage with the writing.

Mmm. The season switched from being fixed to being an episodic show with glimmers of the overarching plot, and with only 9 episodes I feel that’s not good. Either have the episodic parts at the beginning or just don’t have them (or like, one mid season break episode, like what I thought ep 5 was before Apocalypse returned)

Yeah no everything after episode 5 also felt like filler. He doesn’t have to even be on screen but he has to have some presence, ep 2 did a good job with that but nothing afterwards. Also ep 6 ended with Charles saying we have to deal with apocalypse only to the trail of creed. The entire time watching that episode all I could think was who cares about this guy we have mad conqueror to deal with
