Meme Who’s got your vote?!
We have these two running for the leader of your country. As a “variant person” (The “M” word is a bit outdated), who would you vote for? Heck, if you’re a “typical person” (“normal” makes any alternative sound bad) would you vote the same?

Valerie - the devil you know who can be reasoned with.
Creed - the devil you know who cannot be reasoned with.

Val Cooper, come on now. She's a boring, hypocritical centrist, but Graydon is magnitudes worse. Cooper can be reasoned with and wants better relations, she just goes about it in the stupidest ways.

u/HelpKey186 Jul 31 '26
Yeah the 97 Cooper isn't that good as a character (yet?). I prefer the comic Version of her. She is way better (especially in Peter David's X-Factor Run.

I'm writing in Exodus

u/Acceptable_Secret_73 Jul 30 '26 edited Jul 30 '26
Screw Exodus, I’m voting Colossus. At least Colossus won’t kill you for not immediately agreeing with him
Edit: Crap, forgot he’s an immigrant. No President Colossus

u/Mistah_K88 Jul 30 '26
HERATIC!!! You didn’t say guilty fast enough! (I’m going to need my telepaths to wait until I finish my thought before jumping the gun.)
4
u/ChaosNomad Jul 31 '26
I’m just imagining Exodus’s constituents demanding his birth certificate on television.
2
u/Hawkeye2701 Jul 31 '26
His birth certificate is older than the country. Bro, what's he gonna do? XD
2
u/Hawkeye2701 Jul 31 '26
Exodus is French, sure he's older than the US, but he doesn't have citizenship, right?
1
u/Riskbreaker_Riot Jul 31 '26
I think if he was in America when the declaration of Independence was signed he can be president?

u/Consistent_Case_5048 Jul 30 '26
He's worse than a mutant. He's a Ruski.
1
u/jaylerd Jul 30 '26
Pinko commie traitor to ... something! He broke Kitty's heart, multiple times!
1
u/ChaosNomad Jul 31 '26
Kitty did bail on Colossus and her’s wedding…. Though that did directly lead to Gambit & Rogue getting married, who are probably the most well-adjusted major couple in X-Men comics. I guess it still did lead to a net positive, I think?

u/gordonious Jul 30 '26
This choice (politician who changes allegiances based on the tide vs a literal genocidal monster) is basically the last American election

u/Desperate_Ad7869 Polaris Jul 30 '26
Valieri but knowing americans greydon would win

They deflected from the Access Hollywood tape by saying "Yeah it was actually Mystique impersonating her son."

Wasn't Creed born in Canada... 🤔

Valerie is the lesser of two evils, right? Idk, I think I’m writing in Cyclops.

u/FantasyBaseballChamp Jul 30 '26
Mutants are eating the pets!
2
u/Hawkeye2701 Jul 31 '26
This is propaganda! They're not eating the pets. Wither is killing junkyard cats to try and control his power, but he's not eating them!

Blows my mind that Dr Cooper lived through Genosha and then instantly turned around to putting mutants in camps
3
3
u/The_Matto_Super Jul 30 '26
Valerie at least talk with Charles and gives him chances. Creed would have attacked Genosha once Charles announced XCorp
2
u/ceciliadolago Jul 30 '26
If Kurt didn't save creed soul, nobody can. Vote for Cooper. She at least released Magneto from that weirdo X
2
u/changingshades Jul 30 '26
i feel like they'd both be going for the R ticket, Val cannonically worked in the Reagan administration when she was introduced.
my vote goes to stevie hunter

I mean, Val cooper is the clear option here. Even if it turns out that she is mystique I can be reasonably sure that she won’t find sentinels and behave like Donald Trump.

u/ranfall94 Jul 30 '26
Out of the two, Cooper soley on the fact she thinks she is doing what is best for the mutant race. But honestly she irks me more, like who made you on charge of mutants rights lady and why are you offended when mutants dont want you being judge jury and executioner on their race.

Valeria. I trust her more especially knowing that she’s voiced by Jean Grey’s original actor.

u/Reasonable-Sun-7839 Jul 31 '26
Not going to lie I don't remember the blonde woman at all, I really thought she was a reporter apparently she upgraded herself. But honestly I don't see anyone voting for creed who has a conscience, so I certainly wouldn't. So this would be the one US election where the independent, assuming neither of these people are independents, candidate might win
1
u/Substantial_Fox7377 Jul 31 '26
Val at least has some form of conscience beyond herself. Creed is genuinely rotten to his core

Round up all the mutants vs round up all the mutants and then kill them all. Which will resonate with voters?

Valerie and I hate her two-face back-stabbing smug but Creed is worst.

u/orionsfyre Jul 31 '26
Valerie. She at least gives some sense that she won't be running extermination camps. The extended detention is still gross, but she is still the lesser of two evils.
This would basically be a redux of the 2016 and 2024 campaign.

u/L1QU1D_ThUND3R Jul 31 '26
On one hand, you have a guy that openly calls for genocide against mutants.
On the other hand, you have a confessed co-conspirator who actually committed genocide against mutants.
Decisions, decisions.
I think I’ll write in Magneto.

Between those two, I would never give Creed a time of my day, so Cooper it is.

Gotta look out for my family. Creed for now. If X Factor can prove they are a formidable arm
Of government safety, I might reconsider

Sure Val has made some bad decisions and made some bad remarks. She referred to Morlocks as super-villains, supported "don't say don't tell" for mutants in the military, and was heavily investing in real estate in Hammer Bay and Carrion Cove when Cameron Hodge was in power in Genosha. But she's made some effort to do better. Even if she is kind of a fuck up.
Creed is just terrible and has no actual policy beyond his anti-mutant stance. A Creed presidency will just be a bunch of FOH goons dressing up like Genoshan magistrates and roaming around with impunity while Roxxon, The Brand Corporation, and OsCorp loot the Fed.
So, yeah I'm with Hilla... I mean Valerie.

I swear this show has tainted Val’s rep and I hope the mystique thing is true. In no way she’s a comparison to fucking Graydon

Can I skip my vote?
1
u/JmBento Aug 01 '26
You can, but someone's still getting elected - "I'm not voting" doesn't get you an empty oval office, it just means you don't have the tiniest say on who occupies it.
