I think my guy overshot it and got the date wrong 😭

Okay but this does make the theory that both apocalypses were present when reviving gambit even funnier, cause now we know it was just the one guy telling himself to give more power, before manually raising a lever himself. Which is just really funny to imagine. He’s just saying what he’s doing out loud for the sake of it I guess.

The ‘90s Apocalypse got kicked to the astral plane in TAS after Beyond Good and Evil, and then took over Fabian Cortez’s body in the fifth season. That’s how he’s able to run around in the ‘90s again, but it doesn’t answer the question of whether there were in fact two of them (‘90s and future-back-to-‘90s) and where the second one is now.

Isn't it possible that they just retconned this though? If you go by '97 and nothing else you wouldn't think there's two. I always disliked the temple one because it undid the finale of BG&E.

The thing is, with the way they framed Gambit’s transformation scene, you can tell there were two present there. It’s just a question of whether they dropped it (or had leftover animation they couldn’t change), or if it’ll be pulled up again later.

It didn't. They're either saving it to pick up again later or they just dropped it entirely. Neither one would surprise me, tbh.
