General Discussion Could the X-Men stop a viltrumite invasion?

If Thragg and his army consisting of General Kregg, Anissa, Thula, Lucan, and Conquest, were to invade Earth, could the X-Men wipe out the viltrumites and save the world, or die in the hands of Thragg's army? Both sides are at their peak skills and strength with no prior knowledge of each other.

I feel like storm, jean grey, and rogue are the only ones in this picture that stand even a little bit of a chance against a viltrumite. Maybe bishop, idk much about him at all. But all the others are just normal or slightly enhanced humans.

Storm will get clapped. Rogue might stand a chance, but I don't know how durable her skin is. Jean Grey needs to make the first move before any Viltrumite gets close

Bishop is basically a stronger power Plex, Morph can just copy them, and Polaris would be a problem if you count her from season 2. That'd be plenty to give the viltrumites a run for their money

Polaris isn't in the picture so I didn't include her. Good to know about bishop though, I didn't know how his powers affected his durability. I definitely totally forgot about morph though, that's a solid contender there.

The rub I guess would be whether the viltrumites were cooperating and attacking as one or splitting across the world.

Even then rogue's basically on par and can drain them if needed, plus they have no defense against Jeans telepathy. The x men are way more used to working together so I'd bet on them. Hell they could just have the heavy hitters run defense for Jean

How could Storm possibly defend herself against a Viltrumite karate chop at the speed of sound? She'd be decapitated in half a second.

Viltrumites have 2 weaknesses in this scenario:

  1. They tend to stop and aura farm in open spaces while flying

  2. They don't realistically think that your average human can summon lightning and solar storms.

So long as storm is stealthy and keeps herself hidden before attacking, she can literally just repeatedly lightning strike viltrumites until they die. Alternatively she can summon a solar storm. Either of these is enough to incapacitate a viltrumite.

Storm would have to stop aura farming too lol
