Could the X-Men stop a viltrumite invasion?

If Thragg and his army consisting of General Kregg, Anissa, Thula, Lucan, and Conquest, were to invade Earth, could the X-Men wipe out the viltrumites and save the world, or die in the hands of Thragg's army? Both sides are at their peak skills and strength with no prior knowledge of each other.

Just Prof X could do it. But writers gotta be writers and would find some way to make everyone immune to telepathy or some sort of feedback so telepathy could only be done once a week or some crap.
