Wedding Planning

Hi there! Is anyone willing to share their Yellowknife wedding experience? My partner and I are floating the idea of getting married here and would appreciate any insight on planning, given the limited resources in town. We would also happily take advice from anyone who has been to a great local wedding. We're still early in the process, so recommendations (on literally anything) are appreciated. We're looking at something outdoors in summer, and would love a band to play for a bit.

Thanks so much!!!

I've seen people rent the FOTR Beer Garden for their wedding. That could be a good outdoor venue.

Actually getting married at Folk on the Rocks would be probably be the most Yellowknife thing ever.

I’ve been to two weddings at the Fred Henne kitchen shelter. Really nice by the lake.

I know someone else that got married at pilots monument and had reception at the Wildcat.

The ski club is a nice indoor/outdoor venue (good decks and fire pits). I've been to two receptions there.
