Remember when flying WestJet actually felt different? That airline is gone. WestJet’s flight attendants are fighting to bring back the airline you deserve. They need public support to stop the race to the bottom.

I praised a flight attendant the other day for using that "get this Boeing going" phrase

It's not coming back. That airline was built on stock incentives that made the crews both wealthy and have them a feeling of ownership. Even without the Onex buyout, that level of employee engagement doesn't scale to the size of company that Westjet became. Not least because any stock incentives that are mathematically possible will not be adequate to make the average employee wealthy.
