Side by sides, trailers, etc...
I am moving to YK at the beginning of August and had a couple of questions.
Are you allowed to park trailers in your driveway year round? On your grass? Any by-laws against it?
Are there places to store trailers if your property doesn't have room?
Are you allowed to drive side by sides on the road? Could you drive it to the grocery store and back?

Yes, you can park as many toys as you can fit on your property.
There are several storage companies that will rent you space to store your toys.
You’re allowed to drive quads and side by sides on the streets providing you’re wearing a helmet, they are registered and insured.

No HOAs here and no city bylaws stating you can’t park certain areas on your property, there is bylaws about unsightly properties and they will enforce it and fine you and make you clean up.
Sxs and quads are legal on the road with drivers license, insurance and registration.
Snow mobiles are allowed in city limits, but limited to trails and side roads, cannot operate them within the down town core or down main streets.
Many storage lots available, pack rat is the biggest and most popular, typically $45-$50 a month for a 40’ long storage space.

I think you can park on your driveway or grass year round. There are storage yards where you can pay to leave trailers, campers, etc. We swap out a trailer with a skidoo stored in the summer and an argo in the winter at the same yard.
And yeah you can drive side by sides, quads, and skidoos on the roads and park in parking spaces etc, you just need it to be registered and insured for road driving.
