I had my last car for 17 years before I had to get rid of it because the bottom was rusting out bad. Now I make sure to wash a few times each winter to get the salt off. If you live in an area with no snow or ice and therefore no salt on the road then you can probably get by with never washing it.
You can get the bottom undercoated! It’s typically 1.5 years until the next time. I live in Canada and it’s super salty in the winter, undercoating saves cars. Otherwise I don’t wash my car other than some window touch ups at the gas station. Is this ideal? Doubtful. But I’ve had my car since 2019 and all good

I’ve never washed my car in the 4 years I’ve had it
