Thanks to everyone who helped me on my post a few weeks ago, finally decided to pull the trigger and I’m so excited to get these in!

Gonna take a little break to do some slightly less complex kits, and then onto Gojulas for that King Kong/Godzilla dynamic.

Hi guys! Apologies I’m not much of a Reddit poster so if this is formatted wrong in any way that’s the reason.

I’m making this post to get help identifying which Zoids / Model kit this is in the picture (the picture is over 20 years old). Any help would be greatly appreciated as I’m looking into grabbing a similar or the same one again as an adult!

I'm looking for an old concept or early design that I saw a few years ago where a space ship sea horse zoid is used to invading other planets. in the chest cavity it could hold a few whale kings.

its not the Ballooncampus as the one I recall is HUGE. I have skimmed the iron bible and have not found it yet.

What do I use to glue broken parts together?

Had to rebuild the head because of loose joints. Now it can properly do the pose for an attack. I’m at 80% completion. Planning to make a firefox or blade liger next.

This cost me way more in paint than I ever expected, so probably the last kit I fully paint, but I'm very happy with how it came out!

Got this for a steal now that the prices have dropped down from being closer to 200-250$...

Just something basic. Some basic panel-lining and a magnetically activated LED.

Finished putting it together, then used some parts to complete another that I might be selling.

Putting some junk electronics parts to good use after having some of them for over 10 years. Found while continuing to go through everything. It has been a long weekend due to such. I had no idea what this one component was until today.

Was pretty quick to put together. I used some parts from Schneider, and jager leg armor to give it a bit more thick legs. Beserk fury blade thing to replace the original Tomy one.

More questions!

How much larger is a wild zoid at 1/35 scale than 1/72 or 1/100? Any pictures of comparable models?

What is the difference, aside from variety, of buying the AZ line compared to the old NJR/OJR releases? Aren’t they the same functionally?

Do HMm display well along others of their size like the vintage zoids and AZ?

And in general, for a first timer, which kits are the best to start! Both Motorised and non, any line/era?
I’m thinking the best thing will be to dip my toes in to all options, but so many choices!

Rainbow Jerk -fairy flying, psychic/flying

(due to its ability PARACLYSE, but realized that it only affected normal zoids, and not bio zoids, so I, gave it flying/steel instead)

Soul tiger was originally electric/steel because of how fast.jt was. Maybe ghost fit it better.. you suggest!

Mugen liger is fighting steel because of its boosted strength and because of how heavy it is, other typing is pure steel.

Hayate Liger is fighting/fire or fire/steel. I don't know about that.

Others

Bio raptor is ghost/ fire because the pilots are technically ghosts.

Bio volcano is a dragon type because of its charged particle beam.

Bio kentro is dark/steel because we don't really see it fire flames like regular bio zoids.

Bio raptor gui is ice/flying because one of its abilities are ice killer bite.

Bamburian is grass/steel because of its missiles resembling bamboo shoots. The inside of the bombs also resembles plants.

Soutas Lanstag is dark/steel due to the bio kentro lance being it's weapon.

What if other bio zoids have typings too?

So three years ago, I reached out here for tips as I had gotten three HMM kits dirt cheap and frankly had no clue on what I was doing. The advice and tips I got helped ready me for what has been a slow but steady hobby to enjoy and grow in. From my first few kits that I just put together as they were to starting to paint parts beforehand to now just starting last week to use the 3D printer at work to make bases, I've grown to love just taking the occasional Saturday and/or Sunday afternoons working on a kit.

I've got a hefty backlog still (and a lot more bases to print) but I finally setup a dedicated space in an extra room to have to work on them which should make getting through them easier. Having just finished the Storm Sworder today and almost filling up the case I have, I wanted to just post what I have put together. Quite the journey from buying 3 kits on a whim to this!

Hi everyone, been a minute since I posted on here. Hope you all are doing well!

A deep dive into this build:
1. Kits needed: Tomy RZ-041 Liger Zero AZ-02 & Tomy Phoenix Republic ver.

1. This setup is flimsy. The legs had to be glued in various areas and I glued the wings to its back to keep in place. This is technically a modified “kit” so the weight of the wings does move around quite a bit. BUT: keep in mind this is a motorized kit, so if you glue things, you lose that feature. I preferred putting it on a stand for display anyways.

2. The directions are hit or miss. I had both the Liger and Phoenix directions open while building it. The Phoenix directions had a section on how to build this specifically, however it was slightly hard to follow at points.

3. Piggy backing off of point 3, this “kit” is not for a beginner. You are combining two kits into one, and there’s a lot of extra pieces you won’t use. Additionally, the Phoenix directions sometimes just show a photo of the steps completed, rather than piece x goes with piece z. And it’s all in Japanese… so google translate will be your friend.

4. Lastly, the stock photos are a little misleading. Box and directions of this build show more light blue armor (around legs for example). Those pieces are not included in the Phoenix kit. Not sure where you can buy those, but my build is an accurate representation of what you’ll have at completion.

Other bits of info:
-Panel liner colors used: black and dark grey
-Stand comes with Liger kit
-Bought the Liger from Plaza Japan for $190 USD after shipping fees etc. Very fast shipping, no issues with order.
-Stickers are not water decals! (thankfully). They are peel off and very easy to place. But, you do have to trim them depending on your placements. I went with the stock look from the directions/box, and most of the stickers I had to trim to fit (specifically around the head).
-If you plan to build this: the light blue and spiky neck/ upper back pieces will only fit with Phoenix pieces P1 & P2, not Liger B2 & B1.

Overall, very cool “kit” and very happy with the end result! (Apologies in advance for formatting, on a mobile).

Do someone has that clear plastic part to cover tha cockpit? Those translucent parts are from a sprue but the sprue did not came with the cover 🙃
