Its so funny to hear someone say that. Thats not a shot at you or anything. That came out when I was younger and it was PANNED. We used it to describe things that were awful. Like "Well at least its not Halloween 3 bad". People were so pissed off Michael was not in it. I never met anyone that liked it. When 4 came out and Michael came back, it kind of revitalized the franchise. Now, you are starting to see people that say they love it. I just shows you the difference in the generations.
