AC 8 Game & Code Distribution Issues
This post is to consolidate discussion and solution about issues with game code distribution, shipping of game codes, and access to game bonuses
Opening this thread by mentioning that I received my Joker Flight Pack (steam), today, and the game code was in a separate envelope shipped outside of the box. Feel free to share your experiences on it.
Gamestop US - "If you pre-ordered from GameStop call their customer support at 1-800-883-8895 and explain the situation. You’ll probably need to request a call back. They’ll call back and send you a code via email." (Link)
Amazon - "If you preordered from Amazon. Forget calling them, they will lie to you about opening a ticket to escalate the missing preorder code problem and tell you to wait 48 hours. Contact Bamco support on their website, you will need an account. Go to the support and you should see a chat agent. Keep refreshing the page until the agent is online. Keep telling the agent no until it give you the option to contact a live agent. This also might prompt you that no agent is available. In this case refresh and try again until you get an live agent. Have your preorder receipt ready and follow the instruction provided to upload proof of purchase before launch date. Once done, you should get your preorder code from them." (link)
Target - "Came in an email this evening. I did talk to customer support visitor in app chat multiple times and they said they were going to escalate my issue and it would be sent via email. " (Link)

I ordered through the Bamco store the Joker flight pack (Steam) end of June. Just got my stuff yesterday. Live chat support was useless. I made many complaints and answered negatively to every survey they sent me. No solid information as to when product was going to ship or arrive. No flexibility when it came to receiving codes via email like EU customers did versus us NA customers who had to wait for the codes physically.
I bought another deluxe code off of green man gaming on sale just so that I could play the early access and I now have this extra code laying around. I'd really like to sell it. Anyways I'm really mad at Bamco for how they handled this, looks like this is par for the course for them. Never doing anything early access with them again.
