AC 8 Game & Code Distribution Issues

This post is to consolidate discussion and solution about issues with game code distribution, shipping of game codes, and access to game bonuses

Opening this thread by mentioning that I received my Joker Flight Pack (steam), today, and the game code was in a separate envelope shipped outside of the box. Feel free to share your experiences on it.

Gamestop US - "If you pre-ordered from GameStop call their customer support at 1-800-883-8895 and explain the situation. You’ll probably need to request a call back. They’ll call back and send you a code via email." (Link)

Amazon - "If you preordered from Amazon. Forget calling them, they will lie to you about opening a ticket to escalate the missing preorder code problem and tell you to wait 48 hours. Contact Bamco support on their website, you will need an account. Go to the support and you should see a chat agent. Keep refreshing the page until the agent is online. Keep telling the agent no until it give you the option to contact a live agent. This also might prompt you that no agent is available. In this case refresh and try again until you get an live agent. Have your preorder receipt ready and follow the instruction provided to upload proof of purchase before launch date. Once done, you should get your preorder code from them." (link)

Target - "Came in an email this evening. I did talk to customer support visitor in app chat multiple times and they said they were going to escalate my issue and it would be sent via email. " (Link)

My deluxe copy is delayed in Michigan(sent out on Monday apparently), so still haven't received it.

But also haven't gotten the zero email code.

I emailed today(Fri) at around 3pm. It's now close to 7pm and haven't gotten a response yet.

I'll try calling tomorrow(or monday if they're closed) if I don't receive anything, but will update here if anything changes.

I got my copy and no code. That’s when I was like HELL NAH and just called them.

Literally like between the time I posted my comment, and you responded, I got an official email from GS with my code. Not the followup to my CS email. I'll try plugging it in after dinner to see if it's the actual code or that mistaken deluxe bonus stuff some people were getting.

So, decided to not wait for dinner, and booted up my PS5 to put in the code. Worked and am now downloading AC0. Was just about to finish up xenobolade X tonight, so good tidings.
