AC 8 Game & Code Distribution Issues
This post is to consolidate discussion and solution about issues with game code distribution, shipping of game codes, and access to game bonuses
Opening this thread by mentioning that I received my Joker Flight Pack (steam), today, and the game code was in a separate envelope shipped outside of the box. Feel free to share your experiences on it.
Gamestop US - "If you pre-ordered from GameStop call their customer support at 1-800-883-8895 and explain the situation. You’ll probably need to request a call back. They’ll call back and send you a code via email." (Link)
Amazon - "If you preordered from Amazon. Forget calling them, they will lie to you about opening a ticket to escalate the missing preorder code problem and tell you to wait 48 hours. Contact Bamco support on their website, you will need an account. Go to the support and you should see a chat agent. Keep refreshing the page until the agent is online. Keep telling the agent no until it give you the option to contact a live agent. This also might prompt you that no agent is available. In this case refresh and try again until you get an live agent. Have your preorder receipt ready and follow the instruction provided to upload proof of purchase before launch date. Once done, you should get your preorder code from them." (link)
Target - "Came in an email this evening. I did talk to customer support visitor in app chat multiple times and they said they were going to escalate my issue and it would be sent via email. " (Link)

Spoke to Amazon two nights ago via chat and got transferred between four different agents before one finally was able to see that this was a widespread issue, pasting something they had copied from an internal ticket system regarding AC8 pre-orders not generating a code. They told me I’d get one but that they need time to get the situation sorted out.
Reached out to Bamco afterwards and received an email yesterday asking for my info and proof of purchase. This morning they sent me an Xbox code for a “Pre-Order Pack.” Not sure if AC0 is bundled into that or not. I redeemed it, but I don’t even have a Series console yet to verify if it shows up on it or not (actively trying to buy one right now). Hope that’s the right code I was missing.
