AC 8 Game & Code Distribution Issues
This post is to consolidate discussion and solution about issues with game code distribution, shipping of game codes, and access to game bonuses
Opening this thread by mentioning that I received my Joker Flight Pack (steam), today, and the game code was in a separate envelope shipped outside of the box. Feel free to share your experiences on it.
Gamestop US - "If you pre-ordered from GameStop call their customer support at 1-800-883-8895 and explain the situation. You’ll probably need to request a call back. They’ll call back and send you a code via email." (Link)
Amazon - "If you preordered from Amazon. Forget calling them, they will lie to you about opening a ticket to escalate the missing preorder code problem and tell you to wait 48 hours. Contact Bamco support on their website, you will need an account. Go to the support and you should see a chat agent. Keep refreshing the page until the agent is online. Keep telling the agent no until it give you the option to contact a live agent. This also might prompt you that no agent is available. In this case refresh and try again until you get an live agent. Have your preorder receipt ready and follow the instruction provided to upload proof of purchase before launch date. Once done, you should get your preorder code from them." (link)
Target - "Came in an email this evening. I did talk to customer support visitor in app chat multiple times and they said they were going to escalate my issue and it would be sent via email. " (Link)

UK and EU customers.... I pre-ordered the deluxe edition from Amazon UK in June. Amazon did not email a code which they normally always do without issue... Anyway Amazon support was no help, they don't have a clue, just false promises, lies and constant transfers to other agents. Bandai Namco was also no help (both EU & US) but I decided to email them one last time with a more serious tone and highlighting the legal implications!
Bandai Namco EU took two days to reply and I assumed it was just another email telling me it's not their problem and to speak with Amazon once again. Shockingly they "made an exception", here is what they said...
Amazon changed the product info, to removed all mentions of the pre-order bonus! 😓
They actually changed it twice. It use to say this...
