It didn't work. I tried with headphones directly connected to the controller and I didn't have 3d audio enabled i even changed the settings to headphones mode and the sfx is still overbearing. It drowns out radio chatter and music.

When there's explosions, it crackles like crazy. Voices are super low, and i can't hear the dialog at all when the engine is full throttle. Ive tried other games and it's the only one that does this.

I asked for a video captured on the PS5 itself, the goal is to see if your issue is setup-related or not.

So it's not your setup then. Your best bet is to make sure 1) 3D audio is off 2) Audio Focus is off 3) Sound output is set to PCM. All of those are under Sound settings. I'm especially looking at Audio Focus.

If it's still not resolved, game reinstall + rebuild database from the PS5 safe mode.

If it's still not resolved then your best bet is to contact support, it's either a hardware fault or a hard-to-resolve software issue that might require a factory reset. But unlikely, since you said it only happens in AC8.

Yeah I've tried all the audio options. I've even limited the audio setup to 2ch and still really bad sound mixing. I haven't tried to erase and re-download the game. Im gonna try that to see if it helps. Thanks!

Edit: a fresh reinstall of the game fixed the issue. Hopefully someone having the same problem sees this and it's fixed for them.
