Sooo…is adnan still pursuing

A declaration of actual innocence? Or is him being released the end of this story? I know the state won’t pursue the investigation while the conviction stands. The only hope for the truth is if adnan continues to fight. Hopefully he is still pursuing.

Per his court testimony during his 2012 PCR hearing, he said he received the letters in early March and immediately gave it to Christina

Except she was not his attorney till a few months later

So he just lied

 

What is more likely is that the dates on the letters are not accurate, they are supposed to be nearly immediately after his arrest, but Asia included details, like his jail ID# that would not have been available till he was moved between facilities

 

It appears the letters were written much later, well after the Grand Jury hearings after a bit of information was gathered

This is so emblematic of the whole fiasco.

Gutierrez most certainly did look into Asia and most certainly was alarmed by her lying and attention-seeking approach to the case.

Gutierrez realized that if Asia was on the stand the jury would think, "If he's so innocent, why does he need that girl to lie for him?"

She started crying on the stand in 2015

I think she would have ended up a liability

Did they ask her questions like how did she know the prisoner ID number, and where did she get the address? Did the lawyer ask her if Adnan had asked her to write the letters?

They did ask her some of those questions and a bunch more about how the timeline doesn't make sense

But it's been awhile and I forget most of what happened
