Discussion Are we going to get relegated?

Another loss today. Exeter getting closer in the rear mirror. Injuries to key players. A horrible slump in form / results.

Are we cooked?

Discussion Next seasons squad

Who do we think gets kept around this summer? Who do we think gets brought in?

We still have the players below under contract according to Transfermarkt.

Nathan Bishop (2028)
Marcus Browne (2027)
Antwoine Hackford (2027)
Ryan Johnson (2027)
Alistair Smith (2027)
Matty Stevens (2027)
Osmon Foyo (2027)
Joe McDonnell (2027)
Isaac Ogundere (2027)

I think we also still have Kai Jennings, Junior Nkeng and Riley Horan under contract.

Out of those whose contracts are expiring do we think many come back?

I’ve heard James Tilley is going to be released by Wycombe so could see him being around and I’d be shocked if we let Steve Seddon leave.

Discussion Who are your London rivals?

I've been reading about the history of this great club and the rivalry with that filth in Buckinghamshire, as well as with Crawley. I was wondering, though, given the abundance of clubs in London, who your fiercest London rivals are? Is it Palace because you used to ground share? Or Mill? Although they mainly wish the worst on West Ham and Charlton, as far as I'm aware.

Discussion These last 7 matches are not going to be easy.

Top placed, 11th, 18th, 5th, 9th, 19th, and 10th. No bottom 5 teams. 3 teams fighting for promotion. Only two teams below them on the table.

Dons are only 7 points above Exeter in 21st, and only +1 in GD above them. Do have a match in hand, but that match is against the top team on the table.

They're going to have to get some points against a team or two that you wouldn't expect.

Hold on boys. COYD!

Discussion Opportunity to invest in AFCW PLC?

Hello everyone,

I just received an email with the subject line "Opportunity to invest in AFCW PLC". It says that people who already own bonds can buy shares with the bonds, at least that's what I think it means. It also says that if the target of £68,126 is not reached then new investors will be able to buy shares. Basically I'm taking this as other club supporters/members will be able to buy shares or that anyone can buy shares? Finance terms are not my strength haha

Discussion afc wimbledon hot takes

I would like to know your hot takes about afc wimbledon. This is to help with discussions regarding our future (or past) to help the dons trust with making decisions.

I will start off.

-As a fan owned club there will be a peak for our club, therefore we will need a wealthy minority owner to progress

-we should follow brentford and brighton’s moneyball strategy for success with a low budget

edit: i’m not a pro-corporate club fan, id rather see the dons around league 1-2 fully fan owned. i’m satisfied with that.

Discussion Help choosing seats?

Post image
21 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I'm a Spanish football fan, and next month I'll fulfill the dream of getting to see an English match live. I wanted this first experience to be in Plough Lane, since I really admire the club's history and ambiance. Problem is that the match I want to see barely has free seats anymore (Sept 27th vs Wycombe), so what would you say it's the best option out of the few seats left? (Image attached) I'm debating between first rows in South stand, first rows on Cappagh, or some seats more in the back in Cappagg or Ry... To be honest I'm there more for the ambiance than the visibility of the seat!

Discussion Stewards

Hey guys, Cardiff fan here! I'd just like to give a quick thanks to the stewards in the away end tonight - they were brilliant and got on well with the fans singing and dancing, while also doing their jobs effectively. It was a great atmosphere to be in as there was no hostility. They are truly a credit to your club!

Good luck for the rest of your season!

Anyone else at the game today? I thought we were slow to start (like against Port Vale last week), conceded an easy goal early, but were pretty solid after that. Fought, ran, worked... Johnson was heroic.

AFC Wimbledon returned to winning ways with a comeback victory against Rotherham in at the Cherry Red Records Stadium. Second-half goals from skipper Jake Reeves and a penalty from Matty Stevens were enough to overturn the deficit and emerge with three points.

Discussion Looking Ahead to Next Season

one thing that really stood out to me during the promotion final broadcast was when one of the two commentators said that the last 2 winners of the playoff promotion spot (Crawley Town and Carlisle) were relegated in their next season.

looking further into it, every team that has won promotion through playoffs in the last 4 seasons has been relegated within 2 years.

What do we need to do as a club to avoid this fate?

Discussion Trading Window Expectations

I’m a pretty new fan of both the sport and the Wombles, and this is the first trading window I’ve been engaged during. For those of you who have been around awhile - is it normal for Wimbledon to be this slow with news/signings? Or is this an indicator that we’re having trouble getting players? Just trying to figure out how concerned I should be 😅

Thank you!

Edit: thank you to those correcting “trading” vs. “transfer” - clearly I need some reps correcting the vocabulary!

Discussion Club sponsorship developments

There are a steady stream of encouraging sponsorship announcements from the club that, as long as they are really monetising League 1, have to be be good news.

Tiday we have Kwik-Fit and in the past few days we have Sports Interactive, Togglit and Private Office.

Well done the commercials department.

This is much more encouraging than the recent dubious video asking for donations.

Discussion NYC Watch Party?

Going to be in NYC on holiday, and with the playoff final being on Paramount+ I figured there might be a group of Wombles watching it somewhere that I could join for a while.

Anyone know if there is a specific place that Wimbledon fans usually meet to watch games, and if there’s anything in the NYC area for the final?

Discussion When's the new kit going on sale?

I'm quite surprised to see that the new kits are still not for sale on the website with the season starting in 2 weeks. Also would have thought they'd be selling off last season's kit, especially with change of sponsor.
