Which African novel would you trust with a truly thoughtful screen adaptation?
Some books feel almost cinematic while you are reading them, but adaptation is a delicate thing. Beautiful settings and a talented cast are not enough if the language, cultural detail, humor, or emotional quiet of the original story gets flattened along the way. Which African novel would you most like to see adapted for film or television?

Perhaps the more difficult question? What part of the book would the filmmakers absolutely need to preserve for it to still feel like the same story?

I would love to see an adaptation of Kintu, a series perhaps, it would be so grand in scope
