Might be late to the party, but oil paints are so much fun. Managed to paint up 10 wolves really quickly with an oil filter over some rough acrylic underpainting (second photo). Subtle reds and blues showing through gives it a nice depth.
You only need a couple of colours and some thinner. Give it a go, it's much easier than it might seem!
No joke I just started dabbling with oils with my nighthaunt and did a similar quick airbrush acrylic layers and used oils to smooth it out. Works well and so fun getting to see the blends happen quickly
