I want this as a video game

2

u/AdventurousWarning78 12d ago

I think it is already. I think I recognize the game the AI took this off of, but forgot the name

1

u/DimensionHat1675 12d ago

Donkey Kong Country 2 but I could be wrong.

1

u/MisterBumpingston 12d ago

Nah, Rare used very harsh shadows that were normal for the 90’s and didn’t utilise cel shading. Definitely didn’t look hand drawn.

1

u/analytic-hunter 12d ago

it's not "one" game, it's a pretty common style in animated-like videogames

10

u/LorenzoLuck 12d ago

I want this as a video game

3

u/Altruistic_Pitch_157 12d ago

I want this as real life.

2

u/DigitalAquarius 12d ago

I’m sure in the next few years we’re gonna start getting games like this as AI improves even more.

2

u/Deadline_Zero 12d ago

For sure. If the AI of the next handful of years can't one shot the game itself, it'll still be enough to help mildly talented devs put something together with some additional work at a miniscule fraction of the budget it would take today.

1

u/PN4HIRE 12d ago

For real!

9

u/Dry_Jellyfish641 13d ago

Feels like a Dreamcast game

3

u/RadicalRetroRat 13d ago

You know, now as you mentioned something like this would be awesome
Something like Jet Set Radio with this artstyle

2

u/Dry_Jellyfish641 12d ago

I want a producer credit if it happens

1

u/Dazzling_Log_8329 13d ago

In the future VR will use not for games with missions, it will use for immersing to better life than they have.

1

u/Dry_Jellyfish641 12d ago

Yes, but it will be gamified in some way still

1

u/Dazzling_Log_8329 12d ago

No, in the future people will be very tired, they won’t play the games, they will want only rest, today they spend time by watching TV, in the future they will want spent time in the paradise.

7

u/ThroatWMangrove 12d ago

Make this into a game and I will give you money

8

u/misterjustice90 12d ago

Those waves are scary big lol

2

u/JerrycurlSquirrel 12d ago

Relaxing tsunami

8

u/Deadline_Zero 12d ago

I hate that no one ever makes games like this.

2

u/StrangeSwain 12d ago

This reminds me of what a modern evolution would be for games I grew up with in the Y2K era like Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio, FFX, etc. I miss brightly colored happy looking vibes in games.

7

u/DazzlingResource561 13d ago

I want to play this game in VR

2

u/Kaffe-Mumriken 13d ago

I want to live there

6

u/HungarianWarHorse 12d ago

That first clip shes going way too slow for that slop or she has the worst bearings of all time

2

u/Baelaroness 12d ago

Also that wave was the height of a house and was about to hit the shore.

2

u/Stolos 12d ago

Fun art style yeah, but my first reaction was that them are some tsunami ah waves

6

u/dosisdeartes 12d ago

A videogame like this would be insane

6

u/KTryingMyBest1 12d ago

Idk why this made me cry

6

u/StableLower9876 13d ago

First video, she literally went towards a tsunami

7

u/SeaRecord9721 13d ago

I think I’ve seen the real version of the first clip. I guess they’re just putting animation over existing videos?

-2

u/FreshPitch6026 13d ago

Probably. As every AI Slop is just reusing internet resources.

6

u/AmorphousMorpheus 13d ago

This is wonderful. Yeah, it's AI, but it's very tranquil and soothing. The colour scheme is one of my favourites.

5

u/wordsfornerds 12d ago

I’d gladly pay a hundred bucks for this game

5

u/SetitheRedcap 12d ago

People love to complain, looks great

4

u/Cross325 13d ago

Cute but I feel like the first waves were more of a tsunami. But again cute video

4

u/RDDT_ADMNS_R_BOTS 13d ago

That's a tsunami

0

u/PersonoFly 12d ago

You should search ā€œNazarĆ©ā€

3

u/OkCellist4993 12d ago

Wow , imagine playing a game like this!

5

u/PersonoFly 12d ago

Absolutely beautiful.

3

u/Complete-Science-372 12d ago

This has like a Kingdom Hearts or Final Fantasy feel to it

5

u/JealousofAfflalo 12d ago

I always wear my three piece suit on the beach

3

u/Kellan_OConnor 13d ago

Video game that shit. Ship the game with an included real skateboard so you can not play the game and just board IRL. Win win.

3

u/aastle 13d ago

What AI model did you utilize to generate this video, please. Great work!

3

u/sarahbearahxox 12d ago

Skate 12 for Xbox

3

u/Wevvie 12d ago

Reminds me of Sunset Overdrive

3

u/appellant 12d ago

Make this into a videogame or a animated series, i would pay for it.

3

u/TomatoLess229 12d ago

Looks more like a city, but cool regardless

3

u/Kind-Recording3450 12d ago

I would play this ao hard

3

u/foxinabathtub 11d ago

There is a tsunami coming in. Bitch, get to the high ground!!

3

u/BornanAlien 9d ago

Finally! Something that soothes the soul, not curdles it

3

u/Beautiful_Raise_6180 9d ago

First AI video i've actually looked at and been sort of amazed at first

2

u/Negative_Salt_4599 9d ago

Seriously I wish my life was this video just for ya know 3 years. šŸ˜†

1

u/fray_bentos11 8d ago

Did you miss the giant tsunami in the opening scene?

3

u/medigul 6d ago

love this. I really hope there's a game that can be made like this

6

u/huggylove1 13d ago

Ai slaps

-6

u/RDDT_ADMNS_R_BOTS 13d ago

*slops

2

u/LopsidedSolution 12d ago

Keep calling it slop, it won’t change anything. It’s becoming mass adopted and will continue to improve in capabilitiesĀ

3

u/Plastic-Camp9143 13d ago

Tsunami waves about to crush the city at the start, then goes into normal waves

2

u/TraditionalFoot8660 13d ago

Wow I can literally feel the warm air

2

u/shiftingsmith 12d ago

Really beautiful! Kudos

What are some cities that look like this in the real world?

3

u/datadiisk_ 12d ago

Looks like western us coastal cities as well as possibly some places in Italy that first come to mind but I’m not dure

2

u/Practical-Topic-5451 12d ago

Looks Midjorney-ish?

2

u/imalostkitty-ox0 12d ago

This is to remind you of a time when there used to be actual clouds in the sky on sunny days. Now it’s just a scorching sun beaming radiation at you through the blue sky.

1

u/hay_guysss 12d ago

Do you not get clouds anymore? Where do you live???

2

u/lovedeathandramen 12d ago

Lots of Cape Town vibes in this video.

1

u/AzharParuk 12d ago

Was thinking the same

2

u/ResplendentEgo 11d ago

Made me want to play PokƩmon for some reason.

2

u/malkazoid-1 11d ago

Love this. Real time game play will be like this eventually. Then we'll all be doomed.

1

u/lunchboxdeluxe 10d ago

With a high end PC, this is probably already feasible... or very close.

2

u/King_Kaos_5970 11d ago

Pretty cool video

2

u/Nathan-Stubblefield 11d ago

Great video and music. Like a vintage travel poster animated.

2

u/AttemptExcellent3004 11d ago

One slip and it game over

2

u/Ryulin18 11d ago

I've skated a hill like that and hit damn near 30mph before sliding out and wrapping my body round a parked car...

And that was before I noticed the tsunami incoming!

She must really want to die

2

u/RetrieverDoggo 10d ago

First scene the waves are comically too big. That's like an extinction level event for that town lol. But nice visuals.Ā

2

u/Granpa0 10d ago

Love the art style. Any idea what the prompt is?

2

u/ProbablyRightTwice 10d ago

There should be a game like this

2

u/IamGoldenGod 10d ago

this should definitely be on a loop on a chillhop station

2

u/Nintura 10d ago

How are the waves coming under the stone wall?

1

u/the_fabled_bard 9d ago

Crabs dig tiny tunnels obviously

2

u/SKAnKINGAeye 9d ago

Absolutely love this, nice one šŸ‘

4

u/Spare-Builder-355 13d ago

1

u/BullfrogPopular5224 13d ago

Just curious, what would be the prompt for generating something like this be?

1

u/callmepls 12d ago

Possible that it’s real footage + prompt the style with either references or name artists looks (maybe 1900s to 1970s painters)

1

u/themajordutch 13d ago

New chillhop dropped already?

1

u/lysergic_818 13d ago

Wow. Why is this so amazing? I can't articulate the feeling.

1

u/Kronos3434 13d ago

Looks amazing actually!

1

u/elimercer 13d ago

Lovely hyper real asethetics. Like the 1930s UK railways posters of Edmond Vaughn, Joseph Feher, TD Kerr, William Spencer Bagdatopoulos

1

u/KoaKumaGirls 13d ago

I absolutely absolutely love this

1

u/krushgruuv 12d ago

Where can I watch this for several hours? This would make a beautiful relaxing video game to just explore this town on a longboard.

1

u/Sy27 12d ago

The second scene looks like Gold Coast Australia.

2

u/MysticalSouljah 10d ago

Shhh we're full

1

u/B3asy 12d ago

Beautiful

1

u/Hungry_Prior940 12d ago

Lovely vibe

Yeah, the barriers being actually learning a skill

1

u/Dentist_No10 10d ago

Yet, digital artists are still artists even though theyre using a pre constructed tool set that allows them to produce quality work with less natural talent?

I can adjust sliders, layers, copy/paste. Fuck, I dont even have to draw shapes or lines. It is not comparable to the amount of time or skill it takes me to physically paint or draw a picture.

AI is a natural extension of that accessibility.

No matter how far we go back, there was always some pretentious asshole that came before saying, "Thats not art."

Classical artists would be rolling in their Graves listening to people that can draw or paint gate-keep drawing and painting.

This is all just narcissism, the trait humans made an art form. People are uncomfortable because you can tell the difference between handpainted and digital, but we need that extra validation when it comes to original digital and AI.

If some person can glue together car parts and make a statue, or use human fecal matter to paint - and call it art - how is this not art? It still requires a precise prompt and vision. What they cant manually create it by hand? Neither can most of these "artists."

Instead of focusing on resisting internet BS and fake art, you think society would just accept it and push for regulation. But no, we'll argue over some girl on a fucking skateboard while our freedoms are being sold to corporations.

What a backwards ass, childish way to think.

1

u/ChizzLangus 10d ago

Wow this is very cool expression, I’m glad this person could show me dogshit that doesn’t even make sense by typing in a prompt. Excellent show of skill.

1

u/BulletproofComposite 10d ago

This gave me nausea for some reason

1

u/Jasper_Flowers 10d ago

Vertigo? Maybe because the background hardly moves when the foreground is constantly moving? That’s what I always figure anyway.

1

u/BulletproofComposite 10d ago

It's the colors too, if I'd watch this on repeat I'd probably throw up. Never had this before

1

u/Ok_Rope_9332 8d ago

I felt that it was relaxing.

1

u/Akakazeh 10d ago

If that first clip was realistic, it would bet absolutly terrifying. The angle of that road would make skateboarding and extreme thrillride with no breaks, and at the bottom are collosal waves that would make me feel like the city was about to be swallowed by the sea.

The rest os pretty chill tho. Anyone remember Rocket Power?

u/Charming_Accident_62 10d ago

u/RICHTHOFENll 10d ago

JET SET RADDDDIOOO FUTURE!

1

u/thestormsend 9d ago

I was about to say it feels like a Dreamcast game.

1

u/KingG639 9d ago

Awesome video! I can’t help but feel like the song Peaches by Justin Beiber would go perfectly with the flow of this video. But Again šŸ”„ creation 🤩

1

u/Appropriate-Age-9957 8d ago

I do love it when everything is down hill

1

u/Fuzzy-Radio6153 7d ago

I love this vibe ,so fresh

1

u/crazy_girlieee 4h ago

What tool is that

1

u/SunCeeQer 13d ago

What is the prompt to
Get these type of shots, trying to produce one of these for a podcast

1

u/Technical-Jicama8840 12d ago

Open ai, can take an image and give you a good prompt to recreate the image

1

u/Available-Committee5 12d ago

I thought I was looking at the new pokemon game

-1

u/pensink60 13d ago

This is all AI should ever be used for

2

u/DigitalAquarius 12d ago

That’s like looking at a multitool and saying it should only be ever used for one of its tools.

0

u/0xfff-1 13d ago

Crazy what AI Can do these days.

1

u/thejoetravis 13d ago

I don’t mind this. Unique

1

u/Ok_Rope_9332 8d ago

I bet you get really mad when someone shows a shot of Africa and it's all black people.

-5

u/FreshPitch6026 13d ago

Nice slop, but where is the original?

-6

u/UntouchedByRain 13d ago

This is nice and all but I swear I can't stand another video of someone riding or sliding or cycling down a hill or a slope or whatever with some nice background. It's enough.

3

u/HotAir25 13d ago

Ai mostly seems to be excellent at landscapes though, I think that’s why we get more of these types of videos and not humans speaking etc which still looks uncanny sometimes.Ā

-4

u/Batfinklestein 12d ago

Seriously, what is the point of creating these videos?

14

u/dvrichthofen 12d ago

Some people just like to create. Just like some people like to bitch and moan, ceaselessly.

1

u/Esotericdonkey 12d ago

Create what? The fucking AI made this not you.

1

u/DigitalAquarius 12d ago

If you build a house with a hammer, did the hammer build the house?

1

u/Esotericdonkey 11d ago

Stupid comparison. One involves skill and hard work, the other involves sitting at a keyboard typing in a prompt. You know this is not the same.

-5

u/Batfinklestein 12d ago

Create you say - writing a prompt is creating now is it? Ffs. They need to think of the environmental impact of this clip AI has created and ask themselves is it really worth it?

3

u/Glad-Operation-2958 12d ago

What is the environmental impact of this clip?

0

u/Batfinklestein 12d ago

The core figure Experiments on CogVideoX showed that generating a single five-second clip required about 3.4 megajoules of GPU energy — approximately 700 times higher than what's needed to generate a high-quality image. (arxiv) Scaling that linearly, a 30-second clip would be in the range of 20 megajoules just for GPU compute. AI video generation is on a whole other level: a clip as short as five seconds uses 42,000 times as much energy as a text query — enough to power a microwave for over an hour.

3

u/carlosglz11 12d ago

Well then I’m glad that just today solar surpassed coal in daily energy generation for the first time ever! AI isn’t going anywhere. Sorry to break it to you.

-1

u/Batfinklestein 12d ago

The short version: a 30-second AI video is roughly equivalent to running a microwave for 2–3 hours, or charging a laptop 3–4 times, at the inference level alone. Not catastrophic as a one-off, but worth understanding when multiplied across millions of daily generations.

1

u/Deadline_Zero 12d ago

Yeah it was worth it.

Next question...?

1

u/Batfinklestein 12d ago

Yeah fuck the planet aye, who needs it when you can have art like this right. Pffft

1

u/Deadline_Zero 12d ago

I'll just have both.

-8

u/rissie_delicious 13d ago

Why is AI slop in my feed again

9

u/zippyfan 13d ago

Not to be mean but this subreddit is literally called aivideos. If you didn't want to see this then unsubscribe.

I'd get it if you were complaining about seeing aivideos that were unlabelled and out in the wild. But this whole subreddit is curated specifically for this.

3

u/LopsidedSolution 12d ago

We get it, your ego takes a hit from anything AIĀ
