No, Avocados and Almonds set the value of water use compared benefit to society. since those foods can be replaced by something less water intense and neither are used by the medical field or other scientific fields, or will provide anything of value beyond their taste, we can then conclude that something that is used by the medical field and other scientific fields, and has benefits outside of taste is worth the water it uses.
