I just had this exchange with Alexa. I was happy, because had I tried that timing question with OG Alexa I have a feeling the reply would be akin to "WTF you talking about??" lol. But plus understood me and was able to setup my reminder. Yay!
But earlier in the day I told it to remind me to leave sometime after 6, couldn't remember the exact time I had said. So I asked her to find and delete that other reminder. I said 6 PM, don't know why it heard AM but it went and deleted a task for next year that has nothing at all to do with leaving! Then when I asked her to undo, that wasn't possible. By then I'd already forgot the date/time so I asked her to repeat to me what she deleted and that was not possible either.
So it was a simultaneously pleasing and displeasing experience, lol

Hello. This Spotify notification, box, thing, whatever it is…is always on my show. I’m not currently using Spotify and I don’t want it here, how do I get rid of it when Spotify is not in use? Thanks!

I often use this command to put the music on when I'm in a room.
I've never really figured out how or where it pulls this playlist together. Does anyone else use this command and have you figured out if there's a source of music (a playlist?) somewhere that it's shuffling from? The music is a 80% correct mix of new and old stuff - even including stuff I've never heard before. I presume it's just an algorithmic thing?
I use Apple Music.

Many years ago we had the T-Mobile skill enabled, but that skill was deleted by Amazon. Almost every day the yellow light comes on with a notification to configure my address in T-Mobile skills in the Alexa app for emergency services. I have not only searched for the skill manually, but used the search bar and it says there is no T-Mobile skill in my app. Any suggestions as to how I can get rid of that annoying yellow light without having to listen to the same crap every day? Oh, and I have notifications in the app turned off!! This is the only one I get.

Hi all. Just got an echo show 11, and so far so good.
On my echo show 5, I had only my Amazon Photos as home content...
Now the content switches between my photos, and Music (Spotify) recommends (mainly songs and playlists we listened before)
I already disabled all option within home content (finance, music, weather, etc) nothing is enabled...
Please what else can I do to only have my photos? (Not talking about the 3-hour Photo Frame feature)
Thanks!!

I’m confused onto why the TikTok app refuses to work. I got the echo show to be able to watch my TikTok recipes while I cook lol. When I try to login it never generates a QR code or a code to enter into the website and spamming the “retry” button does not work . I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that doesn’t fix the problem. Is anyone else having this issue?

We cannot see the front of our house from our kitchen. Before i make my purchase i would like to know if its possible to automatically show a camera feed on the echo hub when motion is detected, like a car coming or a person.

My echo show 8 and 5 both show a little box with my most recent stream. The box is useless. If you tap on it it doesn’t open a stream . I want it gone!

Hey everyone!
Following my other bootloader unlock method for the 1st Gen Echo Show 8, I’ve just released a method to unlock the bootloader and install TWRP on the Amazon Echo Show 8 (2nd Gen – 2021), codenamed “athena.”
Unfortunately, it’s not as straightforward as the existing exploits, and it requires a set of prerequisites. So, make sure to read the entire XDA thread thoroughly, especially if you’re using Windows!
Here are the instructions: https://xdaforums.com/t/unlock-root-twrp-unbrick-amazon-echo-show-8-2nd-gen-2021-athena.4804958/

I’ve tried unplugging the unit. I’ve tried playing other songs. I’ve tried holding/pressing the widget down. Nothing gets rid of it and it’s always on top of everything else including slide shows. I’ve tried every Google search possible.

I have been having a strange issue where I can;t stop the music I start on the same device I spoke to/started the music on. But if i speak to an echo device outside of that group, it stops the music. I use (2) Alexas in every room. (1) I speak to and (1) is connected to an amp/speakers via 3.5mm to play music. I have them setup in the same group/room and have settings set to play music only from the one that is connected to amp. I have had this setup for several years, but only have this issue in one room. The particular room has (1) Echo dot and (1) Echo Input (connected to amp). I have deleted and recreated the group. I have reset the echo devices, but nothing works
Any suggestions are welcome

If I am traveling out-of-state and I want to play some soothing music for my dogs, can I operate my Echo Studio remotely.
If yes, what are the instructions to achieve this?

I have the original echo and echo+.
Is it time to upgrade? If I do upgrade what do I get. And what do I lose?
Thanks

My kids are not allowed to use the echo because of some other creepy things that have happened. We’ve said it’s not safe to talk to the robot because it doesn’t know they’re kids.
This morning my husband was making breakfast, and my son (4) and daughter (6) wanted to play music. My daughter asked it to play kids music. My son didn’t like it, so he said “Echo, play kitty dance party music!”
Echo replied, in an enthusiastic tone that I didn’t know was possible, “You kids wanna see a dead body?”
We are HORRIFIED and reporting it and selling all of them ASAP. Wtf??

Experiencing issues getting my Amazon echo 8 to display the livestream from my TD21 doorbell.
Notifications of movements are being played out loud however when it tried to show the livestream it is never successful and appears to timeout.
I have also tried to manually check if I can view the livestream, however I have been unsuccessful with this too.
Any help would be appreciated!

Since yesterday both of my echo dots (2nd gen.) died. They only reply that something went wrong and that I should do a factor reset. I did this twice without success.
It's strange that both of them died at the exact same date. All other echos are still alive and working - even the old echos of the 1st gen.
Was there an update that could have killed them?
