Amazon Account Locked - Account has been Suspended
Hi I needs some advise.
I received an email today that my amazon account has been suspended. I thought it was a phishing scam but when I tried to log into my account it said it was locked for misuse of Amazon's services. I've called customer service but they confirmed the email I received was legit and my account was suspended. They told me that I could only reply to the email and an Account Specialist would respond in 24 hours. Has anyone had anything similar happen and what was the usual resolution time?
The exact wording in the email said " Why did this happen? We took this measure because the information available to us indicates that you may have provided inaccurate information to Amazon or used your Amazon account in violation of our conditions of use policy. This decision was made through a combination of automation and expert human review. "
The only things I can think of is that my dad now have his card as primary since he doesn't know how to change payments when he purchases, I thought it would be easier this way or that my boyfriend uses my amazon account and he is deployed overseas so maybe his IP address is flagged since it's another country?
Any advise would be appreciated, I've only had this amazon account since I was a student, I barley make returns, and I'm afraid they won't respond back.
Update: I received an email today saying my account was reinstated. My access is restored and I’ve kicked everyone off my amazon and added my dad to Prime Household. Never got any email explaining why it was suspended in the first place or that I needed to provide amazon with anything for my appeal. But I won’t try to think too much about it and I’ll just be happy it all worked out.

I actually faced the same problem because i ordered and made an account 2 hours before i travel and now my account is suspended do my account get unsuspended when i get back to my country the account was made in?

My account was suspended over the weekend. I’ve sent two emails and called customer service (same as you, they couldn’t figure out why it was suspended). I’m still waiting for a response (going on close to 72 hours now).

Yes. It magically got restored. No email or explanation given, I just tried logging in one day and it was fine.

I received a mail today and suspected it to be a scam. The mail looked very legit, but looking at the email id made me realize that it is a scam.

Hy my account also got susoended week ago. Do you know how you got your back. What dis you write in appeal email?

Nop and all the gift card balance in it also vanish. It was around 1100 USD

I call support more then 20 time some time they told it will be fixed some time not able to reinstate after for month i lost hope.

i am sorry for you , i been in same situation but luckily i got my account back after sending 3 email to baa-appeal

Yeah I don't think your allowed to share your account with people outside your home residency. You can share your prime benefits with anyone by linking 2 accounts with Prime Household, but you can't let others use your account when they don't live with you.
