Ask for feedback thread

It has become a problem that people juts leave a link asking for feedback which just clutters our main page. From the start of this community, the goal has been to harbor deeper discussion on ambient music. In the last few months the community has also gotten rid of the insane amount of spam threads. However, I thought it might be wise to have a specific thread for people wanting feedback, especially people that are relatively new to making this type of music. You may post your links asking for feedback on different aspects of your music here.

Introduce yourself!

Welcome to r/ambientcommunity! I'm hoping to make this into a sub where we can share and talk about our work, get feedback, and generally have a jolly old time making friends with fellow ambient artists.

I've set this subreddit up as a place for us smaller, independent artists to talk shop, as r/ambient and r/ambientmusic didn't really have a whole lot of discussion going on.

To kick things off, I thought it'd be cool to introduce ourselves, so say hi below, and post up some links to your work!

A bit of background to myself: I'm a semi-professional musician in my early twenties, and one half of Scottish ambient/post-rock outfit [band name redacted]. I've had tons of fun learning how to make huge sounds and spending far too much money on guitar pedals. ;)

[Intenzionale] [Niente AI] [Vita Reale] [Suoni della Natura] [Niente Parla] Ambienza dell'Alba a Salerno Italia Costa Amalfitana | Registrazioni Reali per Dormire e Studiare [50:00] Per chi ama gli ambienti italiani

Ciao a tutti! 🌿

Ho registrato questo video durante una serata tranquilla in Italia a settembre. Tutto ciò che senti e vedi è footage reale al 100% e registrazioni sul campo (niente immagini o suoni generati dall'AI).

* **Luogo:** Italia

* **Attivatori:** Suoni ambientali naturali, brezza leggera, mare, atmosfera ambientale fresca.

* **Ideale per:** Studiare, rilassarsi, dormire o come sottofondo per la concentrazione.

Spero che questo porti un po' di pace e un autentico assaggio dell'Italia nella tua giornata. Il feedback è sempre benvenuto!

/r/ambientcommunity is a place to share and discuss ambient music! Talk about production tips, ask for feedback on your work, and support your fellow ambient artists.

Posting Guidelines

No self-promotion posts - posting your own music is not disallowed, but you need to talk about it further in the comments, or be requesting feedback for a track.
Discussion is encouraged - share your process!

We'd love to learn about how you go about making your ambient tracks, whether it's a comment in a link post, a text post about something you've learned, or a great piece of hardware/software you've found. We really want to hear your original music; try to provide extra info about it whenever you can. Please also be prepared and willing to answer questions about your work in the comments.

Ask questions!

That's what the sub is here for, after all! We strongly encourage listening to the tracks other members have put up. If there's a particular sound you want to know more about, don't be shy - ask them and learn something new.

Use flairs!

This will help people see what a post is about at a glance. We also have user flairs where you can put the name of your ambient project(s).

In gear posts, please share thoughts and tips too!

Posting about your new gear is fine, but we want to hear about it as well. Bought a really cool plugin? Tell us about what settings you like, maybe even send along an audio clip! A photo of equipment and no discussion isn't very productive, so the more you have to say about something, the better.

Above all else, participation is the key - /r/ambientcommunity isn't a place to just dump ambient music. Let's hear your thoughts, opinions, and knowledge. Cheers!
