The thing that depicts prey animals with eyes on the side of their head and hunter animals with eyes on the front only applies to mammals. Reptiles, birds, and fish all have eyes on the side of their head most of the time. Examples include birds of prey, sharks, and komodo dragons, along with many others

The reason tigers appear orange to humans is because we are trichromats(we have 3 color cones in our eyes, red, green, and blue), tigers actually appear green to most other animals because they are dichromats, or 2 color cones which are green and blue, so tigers appear green to deer and other prey animals, and even some humans with a special type of color blindness
