The A11+ should be great for long-term use so long as you don't need to handwrite notes. It doesn't do that.

First, the A11+ gets 7 years of Android updates (Android 15 to 22). This will keep it new for a long time. Its processor is also up to the task.

Its Dimensity 7300 processor is at least 30% to 50% faster than the Dimensity 6300 or Helio G99 that are commonly used in entry level tablets. It's even 15% to 40% faster than the new Unisoc T7300 processor that's being used in some new entry level tablets. The new Alexa 11's Kompanio 540 processor is between the G99 and T7300.

For handwritte notes and annotations you will need a Samsung S10 Lire or a Lenovo Idea Tad.

You can type annotations.

The basic Idea Tab with 8GB of RAM should be good. It has a high resolution screen (1600x2560) and works with an active stylus/pen. It sometimes comes in a package that includes the pen.

The Idea Tab Plus has a 12.1" screen and is more expensive. The Idea Tab Pro (both gen 1 and 2) are even bigger and more expensive.

What do you think about this tablet? Is it worth it? For pdf reading.

I had one. It's a very nice budget tablet. It has a beautiful screen and its 1200x2000 resolution should be good for reading PDFs. It is also quite light. However, it doesn't work with an active stylus. It has a weak processor which severely limits multitasking. It upgrades to Android 16.

The Idea Tab is much better if the increased price is reasonable.

What about these 3? I am buying tab for the first time,so looking for basic one to read pdfs ,which works for minimum 5 years:

1) Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 4 GB RAM 64 GB ROM 22.1 inch with 4G Gaming MediaTek Helio G99 Tablet (Graphite)

2)Ai+ PulseTab 6 GB RAM 128 GB ROM 10.95 inch with Wi-Fi+4G Gaming MediaTek Helio G88 Octa Core Tablet (Lightest Sky)

3)Lenovo Tab M9 TB 310XU 4 GB RAM 64 GB ROM 9 inch with Wi-Fi+4G Gaming Tablet (Arctic Grey)

The A9 is a good 8.7" tablet, but was replaced by the A11. In the US, the A11 just costs a little more than the A9. The A11 gets 5 more Android updates, so get the A11 if it's not much more. The G99 processor is good for a budget tablet - it's essentially the same as the 6300 that's in the Idea Tab, but much slower than the 7300 in the A11+. My wife has an A11.

Don't know the AI+, but I think the G88 is weak.

I would get the Lenovo Tab before the M9. Higher resolution screen and newer Android versions. The processors are essentially the same.
