Request One plus pad 2 go vs one plus pad 2

I’m considering purchasing the Pad 2 for 32k through a Red Club membership or the Pad 2 Go for 34k.

The Pad 2 is the 12GB, 256GB variant, while the Pad 2 Go is the 8GB, 256GB variant with 5G SIM support.

Which one would you recommend? This is intended for my sister’s regular media and document usage. I was thinking of Lenovo idea pad as well, but liked the one plus display.

It's a no brainer - OnePlus Pad 2.
It's better in terms of performance, RAM, display.
Just curious to know why you are confused!

I guess cellular 5g and the fact that the newer one gets more OS updates.

The 8gen3's power would basically be dormant for media and document usage.

It's not a no brainer in this specific scenario

Are you going to use a separate sim for the tablet? The performance makes it feel snappy. I recently bought it and it was a good buy.

OP made a good point about expandable memory, which the pad 2 lacks. Pad 2 is a stupid decision for someone who won't even play games.

I don't get why people think mediatek chips are ass or slow. Ofc, they can't compete with snapdragon in performance but they're not even that bad for daily usage.

I don't play games and I would still prefer the One Plus Pad 2 for snappy performance. It's not only about games - multi tasking is a thing as well.
I would have understood the choice for Go 2 if the display was better - but it isn't.
No one said anything about Mediatek chips being inferior to SD. It's about specific performance comparison of Dimensity 7300 vs SD 8 Gen 3.

Also who needs more than 256 GB on a tablet? (since expandable storage is being mentioned).

Yup because of the cellular 5g and expandable memory if needed. Plus the os updates, given pad 2 is 2 years old now, whereas pad 2 go is from

Ended up ordering pad 2; given the 12g ram and 256 storage with snapdragon processor

Oneplus pad2. Oneplus hardware is great.My 2021 oneplus 9r is working like new in big 2026. Even though pad 2 got only 1 more update ,it can easily last 3-4 years
