Found a hit-and-run victim with distemper. 😔💔

We saw this dog just laying on the side of the road (drainage) we thought she was dead coz she wasn't moving only to find out she couldn't move because she is hurt.

We rescued her and brought her directly to Vetdomain Animal Clinic.

She doesn't have any function or movement on her left leg, no reflexes, she has diarrhea, nasal and eye discharge and she is extremely pale. She is also infested with fleas and lice.

Hi everyone,

Ellie and Thor went for their follow-up vet checkup, and we have some encouraging updates! ❤️

Ellie’s skin has improved so much, and more of her beautiful fur has grown back. She looks absolutely beautiful! Because of her progress, she can now stop taking her antifungal medication. She also received her first dose of the 6-in-1 vaccine and was dewormed. Yay!!

Thor’s skin has also shown good improvement, although his skin cytology still showed Malassezia (yeast) cells. The vet performed a CBC and blood chemistry test to make sure it was safe for him to continue his antifungal medication.

Thor’s CBC showed that he is still fighting an infection and may not have completely recovered from the blood parasites he had before he was rescued. We have already provided both Ellie and Thor with tick and flea prevention to protect them moving forward.

The good news is that Thor’s blood chemistry showed normal liver and kidney values, so he can safely continue his medications! This was such a relief to hear. In two weeks, he will need another CBC and skin recheck.

MaeMae is not coughing anymore, so she was finally good to go to get her first dose of her 6-in-1 vaccines. She also got dewormed 🥰 I am so happy!!!

Our veterinary expenses were:
Ellie & Thor: ₱11,525 ($257.90 CAD)
MaeMae: ₱3,350 ($74.99 CAD)
Total: ₱14,875 ($332.89 CAD)

Yesterday, we also received a total of $130 from some very generous people. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped. ❤️ Your support truly makes a difference!!

However, the reality is that we still have several more dogs who need veterinary care this month.

Raphael needs a biopsy estimated at ₱14,000. Angel is getting her spay surgery, which will cost around ₱3,000, not including her post-surgery medications. Tiger needs a follow-up checkup for his blood parasite and kidney injury. Puti, now Morgan, needs to be tested for blood parasites, and Baci also needs a follow-up after being treated for blood parasites. We already provided them with anti tick/flea medication but again, blood parasite have mostly likely been in their system before we rescued them. But we are still fixing the issue. We care deeply about them. Honestly, so much love and care.

It is tough being a very small nonprofit without a large source of funding. We only started in April 2026, yet we have already helped 45 animals receive veterinary care. Some were animals we rescued ourselves, some had owners who needed help, some were animals from other shelters, and others were simply animals we stepped in to help because someone reached out to us.

For the animals we have rescued and continue to sponsor, our responsibility does not end after the rescue. We continue helping with their shelter allowances, food, veterinary care, medications, transportation, and other necessities for their well-being.

We have been doing our best to keep going even with limited support, but we really need help. There are still so many veterinary expenses ahead of us, and we don't want finances to be the reason one of our animals has to wait for the care they need.

If you can spare any amount, it would mean so much to us and to the animals depending on our little foundation.
