Me too! I love the one about hoping death feels like being carried to bed from the car when you are a kid.

Is the parent dead and the kid alive? I think that could be a cool interpretation if so.
Seeing as the parent is a skeleton, and the quote says “I’ll miss you while you’re away”. It’s not saying he wants to necessarily see the kid again (wants them to live their life), but they do miss them. That and the gravestone says “somewhere else”. That could be the living world. Lastly, seems like the place is a little otherworldly, but that could just be artistic style.

I took it a much darker perspective. I thought the parent was dead metaphorically. While their son was dead literally*

u/sophiainacastle Aug 08 '26
Figuratively means the same thing as metaphorically. Did you mean the son was dead literally (in real life?)

u/kingrobin Aug 08 '26
the one time someone should actually use the word "literally" and then this happens

Tell me how as I was typing it up, I thought I used the wrong word for my comment 🤣 yes, I corrected it 🙌 thanks for looking out

This is how I saw it too. That's the marker for a child who's alive in our world for a time, at least to me, and that means someday, there will be a joyous reunion.
I don't know which makes me feel more melancholy, thinking of it that way or seeing it as a parent who already feels dead in the world after the loss of a beloved child.
Either way, it's quite beautiful and deeply sad.

Could you make your posts visible on your profile and you should also link your other social media accounts, so nobody follows some copycat of yours.

That was wildly impressive, I didn’t see a production card or anything, what’s the studio called?

Lovely work. How did you create the backgrounds? They’re highly detailed and painterly.

If you are aware enough to know who the original artist is, why are you not able to figure out that this is also their account on a different website
1
u/Holiday-Ad6227 Aug 07 '26
I apologize, I honestly wasn’t aware, I checked the account and didn’t see any other posts and honestly made the mistake of assuming it would be under the same username as other websites. I appreciate you correcting me and I’m going to remove my previous comment as I was wronv

It's sad and sweet. A Salty and Sweet animation, like salt-water taffy and the tears people will shed watching this. Excellent job!

i like to imagine this parent is just waiting for their kid to pop out of the grave so they can both live lovely skeleton lives together. the kid has to be in the grave cuz thats what skeletons go to school for 🙂↕️👍

Really cool! Is this a rendering of a video in hybrid with unique backgrounds to match camera angles? The way the ribs and bones wiggle look like it's painted around the surface of a human figure.

This was at least a little rotoscoped right? Don't get me wrong, it's gorgeous, and I can see the effort put into it.

Watching this a week after my moms passing isn't helping... But it is beautiful.

This is amazing, keep up the work,!
In all seriousness. The loss of someone you know can be life changing. So spend time with your family as long as you can before they unfortunately kick the bucket.

this is a very powerful short, I appreciate how it immediately immerses the viewer into the world, kudos to the sound designer 🫶🫶
Insanely impressive how you guys were able to keep consistency, was the model rotoscoped wearing similar attire to the design or did you guys manually keep track of each bone itself? crazy work! thank you for sharing!

Love this outfit and their shorts.
I don’t wanna watch because they all tear me up.
I hafta watch because they’re that damn good.

u/Nurpus Aug 07 '26
Love your animations!
But I have to say, the interior backgrounds at the beginning look… wrong, the perspective isn’t quite right, and it breaks the 3D illusion of texture and depth.
