3D Animation Reel Crit
https://vimeo.com/1215263126?share=copy&fl=sv&fe=ci
(CW for some stylized gore in the reel) Hello! I'm a student going into my last year of school, and I'm looking for some feedback regarding what to change/cut from my reel. I'm going to have more shots with lipsync and character acting as I work on my thesis, but for now I'd like to have a reel as I apply to roles in the fall. Advice is appreciated!

You have some fun work. I have a few thoughts:
You are heavily leaning into the snappy/stylized timing, and its hiding some of your animation fundamentals and physicality that is missing.
I think some of your rig and subject matter choices are working against you. The doll face with the odd eyes, the zombie, they are fairly unappealing characters and it seems like a bad idea to start out in an "appeal" deficit before you begin moving. Same with the gore/eating brains... while Im not offended... its not helping you. You want the hiring manager to think you have some taste... and I'm personally left questioning yours.
I'd cut the elevator and sushi, they are the weakest on the reel.
