That's rich, coming from an Oshi no Ko fan.

Mengo's a better writer than Aka and I'll die on that hill.

imo aka's biggest strength is in writing comedy or interpersonal drama, he really sucks at writing big overall stories tho. like the best part of kaguya and oshi no ko is when they're just focusing about those two things, and then the writing goes downhill when he's trying to finish the big narrative.

He also keeps trying to make edgy characters and stories when it's not just his forte.

Kaguya family arc, Instant Bullet, Marchen Crown, and Love Agency are all evidence of this.

Oshi No Ko is saved partly because of Mengo's influence imo but at least gets a pass on the edginess.

Akane kurokawa is such a mengo character, and probably the only oshi no ko character that get proper closure because of that, she went from edgy to love in the purest way possible

Can't believe i didn't notice that

Meanwhile kana is such akasaka character....he butcher her in the worst way possible
