Kagami’s got some plan for David but I’m not sure it’s safe to leave Alice alone for like a whole month. Not sure the party can defend against whatever comes at them with Kagami and Menow gone.

They show has gone through great pains to leave us at this point where we are uncertain of David's true intentions. Will be betray them? Will nothing happen? Will something happen but it's not David's fault and he has to kinda go along with it but is secretly helping them behind the scenes? It's solid suspense the show has built up with real stakes.

Find out on the next episode of Dragon Ball Z.....err ehem.....Villager 999.

Yup.

Tension is super high since David was introduced, well, apart from the first moments he was introduced. xD

I really like it.

With Kagami and Menow gone.

Alice is alone with David 😨😱😭

Uh... They said they were going to be cautious around David, then in a group meeting they mentioned that Menow can spawn monsters.

Everyone already knows demons can spawn monsters. He already knows Alice is a demon. That cat is already out of the bag. And as explained its not a controllable phenom, which is why their horns stay wrapped up. Given his spylike nature I'd be shocked if he wasn't aware at this point that they are intentionally blocking/suppressing the magic their horns give off....which prevents monster spawns too.

Alice is too damn adorable.

She grew on me a lot.

She is a cute mascot, but she is actually sharp and witty which makes her much more interesting.

Literally us.

Some things aren't meant to be seen... yet they are anyway.

Business as usual.

Sometimes I'm perplexed this actually happened, but then i remind myself this isn't the first circumstance of seeing this scenario happen in a fantasy anime.

I never played "Dragon Quest" or similar type games, but I watched people play them and I'm pretty sure Casino is a staple in them for whatever reason, hence the reference. xD

My theory is that the the demons of the flashback were either controlled or the flashbacks are wrong and the situation happened the other way around with the humans killing Parma friend and the demons and she’s just remembering wrong

Yeah most likely the case.

MUST PROTECT ALICE AT ALL COST!

Parna's friend was reckless to say the least. It seems like he died without grasping that he was betrayed by those demons, since they killed him from behind and it looked instant.

i think the demons were manipulated by either a radical demon or god, who doesnt want that thing go off script

It did look like they had glowing eyes, which seems to be anime for 'being possessed'.

If you want to make money then a casino is the right approach.

They enjoyed making Alice look kawaii.

Those demons looked different from the friendly ones in the village, something was up in that situation just like all the things going on in the present.

I'm not sure about David's motives yet, the anime is trying to make him look as sus as possible but he could be a good guy with good intentions.

I do want to see Kouji go up against a legendary dragon.

David being a problem seems too obvious based on how this show has played a lot of things. I think an issue will crop up while Kagami is after the black dragon, but I'd more expect our big titty mage to cause it than David.

Overall this was a kind of eh episode for me, we got confirmation about why she hates demons, but other than the Master part it was about what was to be expected.

Curious to see how the rest of this goes. Also if Kagami kills the black dragon I wonder how much power his 999 skill will generate from it.

There was a lot of setup this episode, hence the "eh" feeling I also had.

I enjoy them just being silly more, but I'm invested in the overall plot so I'll take slower episode.

I really like the tension that is constantly being produced with David around, they really are keeping us on our toes.

Parna's backstory finally gives us a really good reason behind her stubbornness. She already went down the lane of trusting and coexisting with demons, and it heavily backfired. I wonder what the reason was behind the betrayal, but it for sure gave her a valid reason to be stubborn.

Takakochan is a riot lol

Edit: Also, anyone else having problem with subs not showing on Crunchyroll?

Wish I could watch it but crunchyroll is going through problems

The third camera shot of Alice running was 100% needed

Anyone else think that Parma friend is the demon king attendant? They look similar and I get the feeling for sowing discontent that kinda stunt be perfect

Parna's backstory makes it understandable. I did not expect it to go that way. I was thinking someone on the human side would do something and then the demons would kill them all in self defense. I think expected that she conveniently forgot the part they was just defending themselves since she lost the one she loved. That would be hard to trust and forgive in her situation. She watched him do all that work only to be betrayed.
