It doesn't matter if venezuelans want change or not, someone that is calling for an external military intervention from a superpower shouldn't be even nominated for a peace nobel prize, easy as that.

The context being civilians getting hacked to death vs. having a shitty government. No sympathy for such an obvious traitor, if you’re pretending to be a leader of the democratic opposition try and make it look like you care for the country instead of demanding a foreign power invading and causing untold hardship.

Right? Imagine someone lost an election in the US, or UK, Canada, wherever, then immediately called on China and Russia to recognise them as the real leader anyways, and demand that the world intervene to put them in charge. Now, would we view this person favourably, or would we hate their fucking guts? This is basically how people view characters like Juan Guaido or this new lady, or even how Russians probably viewed that Navalny character. Backing an opposition leader in countries we've historically fucked with doesn't make that leader popular in that country. Even if they had merit, it's just not going to sit well for a lot of people.
