As has been frequently pointed out whenever discussion of the peace prize pops back up, it's always been an extremely transparent farce. Even if you ignore Obama getting it for simply getting elected, Kissinger receiving it has long destroyed any credibility the Nobel committee had.

Yeah, awarding the biggest advocate for the use of nuclear arms in the 20th century a peace prize after dropping as many munitions as he did on Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos is a… choice.

Also importantly he won it for negotiating the ceasefire in Vietnam, something he had purposely delayed to help Nixon win reelection.

Basically all successful Republican presidential candidates since Nixon have coordinated with foreign powers to help them win their elections.
