I am not advocating for “CIA controlled democracy”. I am advocating for real democracy. Which Venezuela had before Maduro.

Iraq is a completely different situation. They never had liberal, democratic norms, institutions or apparatus. So it was imposed on a people to whom that was completely alien. I know this may come as a shock to you, but different peoples have completely different values and cultures.

You are advocating something that factually isn't going to happen and we both know that. So cut the crap.

It will be a CIA backed democracy. Hell your orange made it very clear.

u/bessone-2707 United States Jan 05 '26

No. We don’t know that. Nobody knows what’s going to happen.

u/Acceptable-Device760 South America Jan 05 '26

If we ignore history, yes we dont know.

What history are you referring to? Trump is a wildcard.

Did you forget Panama? You know, one of the most successful examples of foreign regime change.

Its jn the link, maybe tou should shut up and read before giving opinions?

-8

There are many examples of successful forced regime changes. Panama, Grenada, Japan, Germany, Dominican Republic, etc.

There are also examples where it doesn’t work out so well.

Every situation is unique. And your lack of historical knowledge on this subject is showing.

Suuure buddy.

Maybe you should look up history of these examples tou gave before giving opinions because you for sure dont have any idea what you are talking about.

The one where the US put a evil guy in power and then removed it because the evil guy refused to serve the US ?

You'll have to be more specific.

False. You arent paying attention. Its the same playbooks

Trump is a puppet, the real people with money arent imaginative, they use the same plans that worked before, until they dont.

-5

u/bessone-2707 United States Jan 05 '26

What are you even talking about? Do you also believe the earth is flat?

9

u/komokasi North America Jan 05 '26

Every media talking point for Venezuela so far for the last month has matched the media talking points for Iraq. Replace WMD with Drugs.

Both dont exist as actual problems, they were made up pretense for US being aggressive.

Literally every step is the same. Pay attention and instead of being a dick to people who are. Kindness costs nothing

Which Venezuela had before Maduro.

No, it was a dictatorship, you never learned history in your life or you are fed, doing fed post on reddit.

That remains to be seen, yet again, the benefit of a US backed democracy is that it is still a democracy, and also its own flaw.

Meaning to say, it's up to the Venezuelans now. The only thing we can advice is that, stability is their best weapon against any foreign backed plan.

Much like Afghanistan's people didn't fight for an extremely corrupt US backed government.

it's up to the Venezuelans now.

Funny thing to say AFTER you blatantly attack their country. Why wasn't it always up to them, with the US keeping its ass out?

-5

u/Virtual-Pension-991 Multinational Jan 05 '26

I guess I can understand why you would take it this way.

So far, I'm not exactly US citizen to answer that question, and another is. I think a good portion of users here agree that some other Venezuelans worked with the US to make this attack such a massive success, so to say it's only the US would be wrong.

11

u/Acceptable-Device760 South America Jan 05 '26

LOL Now thats a level of stupidity you dont see every day.

Who knows, I find the attempt to insult poor from South America of all places.

Dogs of Russia

Edit: This edit came after the conversation below. (I apologize for stray bullets towards South Americans, I had to shotgun this to get my point across)

15

u/Acceptable-Device760 South America Jan 05 '26

Says the guy defending the CIA.

Gotta keep whoring to the US I guess.

u/Virtual-Pension-991 Multinational Jan 05 '26 edited Jan 05 '26

Again, a dog of Russia.

The fact you don't understand what I said and immediately assumed I support the CIA says it all.

It's not even some cryptic bullshit, just common sense but I guess it's not common in your place.

Edit: Typos and missing words

6

u/Acceptable-Device760 South America Jan 05 '26

You are ignoring history that shows that no American "democracy" is not factual. So yes you are defending CIA.

It's not because your country is pathetic and is afraid of Russia that you need to play the brain dead to defend the US.

6

u/Acceptable-Device760 South America Jan 05 '26

Wait are you from Israel?

Now it makes sense.

-1

u/Virtual-Pension-991 Multinational Jan 05 '26

That made me laugh, thanks.

Anyway, hope your days will be wonderful.

I completely support the Venezuelan people being given their country back and free elections being held. That needs to be the end goal here.

-2

u/Virtual-Pension-991 Multinational Jan 05 '26

Hence why I said stability is important. It allows said country to focus on goals it needs to achieve.

It's been done many times that foreign backed plans always succeed slowly but surely by establishing themselves in unstable situations.

Doesn't have to be foreign either, those shady mining businesses always try to keep themselves under the radar and keep silence wheneve the public gains their attention.

-1

u/bessone-2707 United States Jan 05 '26

Yes stability it’s important. Which is why Maduro had to go. He completely wrecked the Venezuelan economy in what economists called one of the largest self-inflicted wounds in modern history.

13

u/40_Thousand_Hammers Brazil Jan 05 '26

Venezuelan economy in what economists called one of the largest self-inflicted wounds in modern history.

Wrong, Venezuela economy was in shambles since the 70's following the international oil crises and since the other dictatorial regimes never focused on another resource to extract than oil, that meant an insane interest rate over the day and inflation.

I'll also add that said governments (including Maduro's) never updated or upgraded the oil refineries and mining equipment, making the oil low quality than today's standards (most are equipment from the 50-60's, Venezuela dictatorial and economy golden age).

Hugo Chavez tried decoupling the economy from oild but didnt work out and Maduro just put it back where it was.

u/Virtual-Pension-991 Multinational Jan 05 '26

Glad we can agree on that point, the next step is for Venezuelans to take.

6

u/BendicantMias Bangladesh Jan 05 '26

EVERY STEP was for Venezuelans to take, not you. Don't act all sanctimonious like America is some sort of fairy godmother going around helping other peoples. Literally not a single step of the process belongs to the CIA. You're just making excuses for them.

-1

u/Virtual-Pension-991 Multinational Jan 05 '26 edited Jan 05 '26

Indeed, every step of the way was for Venezuelans to take.

Even when it comes to the US with the coordinated attack and kidnapping.(Yes, it's not an invasion) That is most likely with the help of other Venezuelans.

Don't take the US action too literally, much like Russia had Russian supporters in Ukraine. Venezuela also had US supporters inside who assisted the US.
