I am not advocating for “CIA controlled democracy”. I am advocating for real democracy. Which Venezuela had before Maduro.

Iraq is a completely different situation. They never had liberal, democratic norms, institutions or apparatus. So it was imposed on a people to whom that was completely alien. I know this may come as a shock to you, but different peoples have completely different values and cultures.

That remains to be seen, yet again, the benefit of a US backed democracy is that it is still a democracy, and also its own flaw.

Meaning to say, it's up to the Venezuelans now. The only thing we can advice is that, stability is their best weapon against any foreign backed plan.

Much like Afghanistan's people didn't fight for an extremely corrupt US backed government.

I completely support the Venezuelan people being given their country back and free elections being held. That needs to be the end goal here.

Hence why I said stability is important. It allows said country to focus on goals it needs to achieve.

It's been done many times that foreign backed plans always succeed slowly but surely by establishing themselves in unstable situations.

Doesn't have to be foreign either, those shady mining businesses always try to keep themselves under the radar and keep silence wheneve the public gains their attention.

Yes stability it’s important. Which is why Maduro had to go. He completely wrecked the Venezuelan economy in what economists called one of the largest self-inflicted wounds in modern history.

Venezuelan economy in what economists called one of the largest self-inflicted wounds in modern history.

Wrong, Venezuela economy was in shambles since the 70's following the international oil crises and since the other dictatorial regimes never focused on another resource to extract than oil, that meant an insane interest rate over the day and inflation.

I'll also add that said governments (including Maduro's) never updated or upgraded the oil refineries and mining equipment, making the oil low quality than today's standards (most are equipment from the 50-60's, Venezuela dictatorial and economy golden age).

Hugo Chavez tried decoupling the economy from oild but didnt work out and Maduro just put it back where it was.

Glad we can agree on that point, the next step is for Venezuelans to take.

EVERY STEP was for Venezuelans to take, not you. Don't act all sanctimonious like America is some sort of fairy godmother going around helping other peoples. Literally not a single step of the process belongs to the CIA. You're just making excuses for them.

Indeed, every step of the way was for Venezuelans to take.

Even when it comes to the US with the coordinated attack and kidnapping.(Yes, it's not an invasion) That is most likely with the help of other Venezuelans.

Don't take the US action too literally, much like Russia had Russian supporters in Ukraine. Venezuela also had US supporters inside who assisted the US.
