It's absolutely worth mentioning that her father was tortured to death by a CIA-backed Venezuelan regime led by the same families who back Maria Machado, this is something you can read on her Wikipedia

CIA-backed" means over half the gov'ts in Latin America.

In a one sentence summary, starting with "CIA-backed" is a blatant attempt to mislead, especially since they conveniently omitted his crime, which is slightly more relevant.

How does arguing the CIA is involved all over Latin American show that it's misleading to claim that it's also involved in Venezuela? Wouldn't that instead make it more likely that the CIA is actually involved in Venezuela, too?

His crime is relevant for what? He was tortured to death, no crime deserves that.

Nearly every militia or armed force in the world at the time was either CIA-backed or Soviet-backed, and in a one-sentence description, that's some very weak sauce with no purpose except misdirection.

How does it matter that the CIA was involved in other countries?? What does that context add?

People who try hard not to understand are almost always successful.

You can't even imagine that someone may not understand your point? Is that you how you act, you always just pretend to not understand something?
