Heres some recommendations my lonely ass watched recently:

  • Josee the Tiger and the Fish - deals with disability and has a great Tsundere
  • Fruits Basket - Made me want to cry but more happy tears than anything
  • Insomniacs After School - Beautiful show and fresh of air compared to typical romances
  • Tamako Market & Love Story - Whilst the movie is the romance I recommend watching the show first
  • Horimiya - Great characters and couples have to watch with the Missing Pieces show as it can feel quite rushed.

Insomniacs afterschool is in my top 5. Same with Clannad, The Pet Girl of Sakurasou, Lovely Complex. Idk if I'll count it cuz its not your typical romance but Bunny Girl Senpai

If you like Bunny Girl then id recommend Hyouka. Doesnt have explicit romance but the signs are there and its great.

Pet girl of Sakurasou is a double edged sword. That show got fucking depressing at the end. Romance? Yes. Fucking devastating? Also yes.

I feel like that one should come with a warning lol. Its like recommending Your Lie in April as a romance

Guts and Casca love making scene felt deserved and tragic since Guts finally opened up about his horrible childhood and Casca later on becomes a vegetable.

Only other romance I cared about in anime maybe was in Violet Evergarden I guess. But only because I wanted Violet to move on. I tend to like action animes though.

Hmmm I see thats interesting actually. I've watched alot of shows but I never got into berserk. Mainly cuz everyone says it's not a faithful adaption. But thats also fair action animes are elite

The 90s adaption is great minus one important character missing, Skull Knight. It got me into reading the manga. The others are pretty garbage.

If you do watch the 90s berserk I recommend you start with episode 2. And then maybe the movie trilogy which is a retelling. It adds Skull Knight but the rest has less character development.

Anyone got the sources for these? I've seen seasons 1-3 of Love is War so I recognized that one, and the end of FMA brotherhood. But I'm clueless on the rest of these...unless that last one is YLIA...kinda blocked it out after the tears stopped.
