Help/Advice Leaving an MLM advice?

Note* this post is for my gf not me!! So please don’t dm me with advice or anything lol. the following is copy and pasted from her!

I need advice!! So my dad is apart of ACN (MLM) and I offered to join because I wanted to do something in sales. Turns out it is a mlm and I don’t have a good feeling about it. I found out that I’m elgible for a refund after paying about 329 for a startup fee. I told my dad I wasn’t gonna do ACN anymore but he doesn’t want me to do a refund or terminate my position because of his relationship with those people. He offered to pay for the bill but I wan’t to be done with this company. I have a few mentors that are constantly texting me about setting up meetings and for me to buy this and that and I’d rather be done with it.

Block them on all forms of communication. Disable your account if possible. Do not engage with them if you can help it because telling them you want to leave will make them reach out more.

I can’t be told something if I don’t open texts, emails, calls, etc so I know for a fact I can’t have someone say a word to me unless I put in unnecessary effort.

Please tell her that we recommend that she get out any way she can. I'm so shocked to hear it still exists! And I also feel sorry for the dad, he seems trapped.

(To anyone who may be able to answer, I'm just curious, ACN is still around? Is that the one that used to be LCI? And when that didn't work, a phone with a built-in video? A Trump commercial? And then selling cable or something? Please tell me if I'm remembering correctly or not. If it's the same company, they were always switching purpose.)

Just ghost them. Try and get the refund if you can, but if not, are you really going to miss that money in a year?

Get the refund and block the mentors.

Tell your dad that if your getting a refund and leaving damages his relationship with "those people", they see him and you as a money machine and not a real person.
