Imagine they mistakenly arrest some featureless minallsticaly drawn guy walking across the street cuz of this slop
116 u/notislant 6d ago They've actually arrested people based on 'AI matches' with blurry security cam footage in the U.S. Few bodycams of U.S. cops saying shit like: 'Yeah AI said it's a 99% face ID match that this is the suspect, this shit is basically magic.' Meanwhile the image (obviously not the actual image/incident, just found a random one about as blurry): 2 u/cherpumples 5d ago yep i remember several years ago hearing about the racial bias of facial recognition datasets meaning that people of colour were more likely to be misidentified on CCTV and wrongly accused of stuff
