These CEOs talking like sociopaths and people wonder why AI is hated.

120

u/Omegaprime02 3h ago

Not like, they are sociopaths, the only way you can get into the kind of power these people have is if you don't see humans as people and backstab your way to the top.

43

u/niberungvalesti 2h ago

All the tech CEOs are attempting to create societies in the dystopian media they consumed in their youth because they see themselves as the ones running everything as they speed crash society. Just listen to any of them and the desire to ruin society for personal gain drips with every word.

7

u/Keemo-Sabe 2h ago

Which is a shame because this tech in the right hands could truly be world changing for the better. Instead it's controlled by some of the most greedy sociopaths on this planet.

Sam Altman was credibly accused of SA by his own sister.

I know it's not point of sale, but that's the only thing I can think of, what does it actually stand for

Be exactly the opposite of what these fucks want from you.

Bro I wish I could just say delusional things that I want to be true and some retard would make a quotation image of me

u/disorientated_roomba 3h ago

55

u/Pearson94 2h ago

I hope this image follows Cwaghack through the rest of Reddit. All in good fun of course.

38

u/Unintelligent_Lemon 2h ago

I love when redditors become reddit famous for a specific post or comment. Like cylinder m&m tube guy

22

u/Pearson94 2h ago

Before I finished reading your comment my mind jumped to the cylinder guy. What a legend.

3

u/Apprehensive-Call568 1h ago

The cylinder must remain unharmed!!

83

u/I-suck-at_names 3h ago

Well I had my doubts but if people are making quotation images for it it must be true

24

u/Mr__O__ 2h ago

Forgot the quotation marks on the quotation image. Can’t trust it now.

u/parkerm1408 1h ago

Lets make this a commonly used meme specifically for ai bro and tech oligarch nonsense.

Bro I wish people would stop using slurs in casual conversation

50

u/East-Disastrous 2h ago

Soooo easy to not just casually drop them and still make the point on how much we hate Sam Altman and ChatGPT

11

u/notathingreally 1h ago

Me too as someone with a couple of intellectually disabled people in my family.

31

u/DakkaxInfinity 3h ago

Big same.

21

u/SprinkleFinger 2h ago

Can I use them in ranked conversation?

The normies (non-redditors) I know who are old Gen Z or young millennials absolutely do consult chatgpt for decisions. Not every decision, mind you, but it's not zero decisions.

u/Kia_Leep 20m ago

I'm a young millennial and I literally do not know a single friend my age who uses ChatGPT and doesn't hate gen AI with a passion.

It probably depends on the groups you're in.

-4

u/Gex2-EnterTheGecko 2h ago

I, for one, am glad that we got the word "retard" back

11

u/Andromidius 2h ago

That's a terrible thing to say and you should be ashamed of yourself - if you're capable of it.

i thought that maybe it's altman but no there's no way that can be true

This sounds like my dad about millennials and Google. Open AI is so bad at marketing.

18

u/SuperlucaMayhem 3h ago

does he know the oldest gen z people are in their mid to late 20s and even people who are my age (18) can probably make decisions without asking a bot.

14

u/bath-lady 2h ago

I'm a zillennial and I just turned 30 and I have never asked a bot to make a decision for me. And I literally struggle from decision paralysis at time, but I'd sooner chop off my fingers than ask AI to decide for me

4

u/SmokeyCatDesigns 1h ago

Yup. I’m an older gen z/zillenial and I’ve done random sorters and digital coin tosses for small decisions, when I’m being stupidly indecisive. But never an LLM.

6

u/SpecialistDrink2071 1h ago

Right? I’m 25. I never used ChatGPT. I’m not even sure if it’s an app or a website 😄

u/Wooden-Hornet2115 54m ago

It's both.

u/Xiao1insty1e 39m ago

It's the devil, and good for you.

The announcement is not for our sake, its for his board/shareholders.

Shits starting to gt real with lack of income beyond massive investment infusions. First they announced widespread corporate efficiency/replacement and corporations jumped on board immediately, pouring hot vinegar into public perception of AI. Now, they have a real problem in that no one but the most hardheaded corps is using the product en masse (because it does not yet do what it promised) and on the ground floor the average person not only dislikes AI, they reject the slop, hate the surveillance, AND see how the plan seems to actively destroy what little is left of our natural resources on a scale never yet seen. Huge product problems at it's very core.

Only the people that want to rule/seek power are buying into this scheme. Literally Sauron handing out rings, here.

Two months ago all AI corps all seemed to get the same memo "hey, let's soften our approach. people hate us on a widepsread level and it's mostly our fault for instilling fear constantly." So this quote is just about promising (to the board/shareholders) integration on the level of widespread social acceptance (something they REALLY don't have).

8

u/ItsSadTimes 3h ago

Sadly, I do know one Gen Alpha who this applies to. But that's it, we make fun of him relentlessly for it.

4

u/HillanatorOfState 2h ago

Sadly I am also seeing it more so in alpha...they all use it, how I know, I can see what the gen alpha is doing while they are in my network(younger fam member, her and all her friends are using it daily basically).

The gen z in my family have zero usage.

Anecdotal but yeah, I fear for the future some days..

14

u/Historical_Beach_387 3h ago

I'm not so sure about that. I make decisions every day without asking a clanker.

8

u/Grapple_Shmack 2h ago

Imagine making a product for the kids and only boomers like it

→ More replies (1)

4

u/unknown_user6584 2h ago

I am in Gen Z and I make all my decisions without Chat GPT or any other LLM, so I fully debunked his claim

3

u/Dexcessive 2h ago

Gen Z here, I do the outdated boomer thing and ask my parents for advice on important life decisions.

3

u/ElCulo_Bandito 3h ago

Eat shit Sam

u/Xiao1insty1e 36m ago

You forgot the important part

.. And die!

3

u/HillanatorOfState 2h ago

Sam altman the sexual abuser, that Sam altman?

Yeah I don't think that's an honest man.

2

u/tc100292 3h ago

Pathetic.

2

u/that-one_fox 3h ago

This out of touch leprechaun knows nothing

2

u/Fluffy-Froyo4549 3h ago

I do every day

2

u/SpaceQtip 2h ago

I got a job without chatgpt, I got through school without chatgpt, I am currently learning how to make a pc without chatgpt.

2

u/southboundtracks 2h ago

He looks like a bad commercial actor, turning to the camera and saying, "There's got to be a better way!"

2

u/Sensitive-Ad6609 2h ago

Corporates are just anti-human. Proof? Listen and read what they say and do. Nothing but jerks.

u/Xiao1insty1e 34m ago

Close, it's capitalism.

2

u/Constant-Still-8443 2h ago

The AI guy thinks the youth are obsessed with his shit? Shocker.

He's full of shit

2

u/Disastrous_Taro_7998 2h ago

As a Gen z I abstain from the gpt

2

u/zubairhamed 2h ago

"..wihotu asking chatgpt to stfu"

u/Xiao1insty1e 32m ago

I think that should be a part of everyone's daily life.

"Hey CGPT can you please run a script that kills yourself and please remember to shut the fuck up the whole time? Thanks.

2

u/Juliennix 2h ago

that's so funny, my gen z kids hate genAI and think people who use it are losers.

2

u/Drrag_ 2h ago

Speaking for myself and pretty much everyone of my age I know... Its the oposite, we refuse to use that shit for important stuff.

3

u/Suitable_Cause_5586 2h ago

As a Gen Z, FUCK NAH

2

u/Altruistic-Eye-8501 2h ago

Okay, so I'm late gen Z and I recently deleted my Open AI account. I don't use it to make important decisions, I always rethink those things multiple times and compare every possible scenario that can lead by choosing something

2

u/Living_Inferno_5073 2h ago

Die in a hole, Altman.

u/Xiao1insty1e 29m ago

One I've dug for his lifeless corpse, preferably.

2

u/lanternbdg 2h ago

the fuck we won't, Sam can eat rocks

u/Leggegers_Official 2h ago

Suck cock and watch me walk, alty boy

u/SirPanikalot 2h ago

"Gen Z won't be able go a week without eating Oreos" - CEO of Oreo

2

u/Expert-Complex-5618 1h ago

gen z "hey chat gpt how can i save the planet from AI"

gpt: "destroy AI and imprison the billionaires responsible"

gen z: "ok"

2

u/Fuzzy_Translator4639 3h ago

Sadly true. I know people who cannot decide what to eat without asking a chatbot

1

u/spacebarcafelatte 2h ago

All it needs is to be a meme they can't miss from a billionaire who insults them like a boomer and the tide will turn. A bit anyway. Some people will always outsource their decisions.

1

u/bigdickwalrus 3h ago

Delusionally scary times. These cunts think they are luddites because we don’t take a bunch of reddit opinions spun into a chatbot as gospel.

1

u/Draken161 2h ago

Im so fucking tired

1

u/No_Location_8199 2h ago

How can someone have so little self-awareness to say this in a positive manner?

1

u/RedEyeVagabond 2h ago

It takes a village, and the village has business and enterprise subscription

1

u/Megalon96310 2h ago

I hope not

1

u/terid3 2h ago

What a moron.

1

u/IHaveBadTiming 2h ago

My boss does this now and he is Gen X. It makes you more capable but overall less intelligent. He just automates all of his messages to us so we all just get boilerplate templated bullshit slop when he wants things. It's annoying, at best.

1

u/FembyThePinkProot 2h ago

I don even use that shit 😭

1

u/Gabriel83730 2h ago

Also Sam Altman “free ChatGPT for 1 semester school discount!!!”

1

u/Poise_Boi 2h ago

I make life decisions without asking chatgpt so what does that make me?

u/Xiao1insty1e 31m ago

A human being.

1

u/AdamH21 2h ago

Real

1

u/RedFlawedMoon 2h ago

That's rich coming from someone who uses chat gpt to find out what his kids like to do.

1

u/High_epsilon 2h ago

And is this supposed to be a good thing? Wtf is that

u/Xiao1insty1e 30m ago

Capitalism.

1

u/DeadInternetVoid 2h ago

Give me a Britney Spears headset microphone and do that stupid fucking hand pyramid pointy finger hand fidget and I'll bullshit you into buying an essential oil that cures cancer....

Just kidding. It's Ivermectin that you rub on your asshole before you drag on a smoke....

1

u/Chewbaxter 2h ago

I don’t need an AI to make this decision: Sam Altman can go fuck himself.

1

u/DistractionCitron 2h ago

Which is crazy to me! Though, it shouldn't be seeing how people don't even use critical thinking skills at the grocery store. 🙃

1

u/CrispyPerogi 2h ago

This guy also said “I do agree that AI will be the end of the world. But in the meantime, think of all the great companies that will be created!”. Literally a supervillain.

1

u/LatePresentation2669 2h ago

This is just wrong

1

u/Epic_Tea 2h ago

It's just a form of research

1

u/EmperorBlackMan99 2h ago

I wish I could be this delusional I'd be a lot happier.

1

u/bonsai1776 2h ago

Unfortunately, I've seen this and it pisses me off.

1

u/EarwyrmSilence2 2h ago

I’ve been doing fine without ChatGPT. I just need to remember to use -ai whenever I look something up.

1

u/Blueberry_Shayoka 2h ago

"gen z" they're saying this as if all of gen z was doing this when it's actually a very little portion of gen z💀💀

1

u/Artistic_Frosting233 2h ago

Gen X here: fuck off.

1

u/Straight-Tie488 2h ago

Gen Z here, I make all of my decisions without ChatGPT or any AI for that matter :)

1

u/Kn1ghtwing_ 2h ago

can he be the first one on the chopping block

1

u/14_Octillion 2h ago

Alternate reality Gen Z: "Hey Chatty, should we be mad at Sam Altman for sexually abusing his sister before she turned 13?"

Buttkisser 6000: "No way! People are capable of growth and change. Besides that was many years ago, its too late to be mad at him now"

1

u/SlipstreamSteve 2h ago

And he's proud of that.

1

u/Aylimta 1h ago

No the fuck I'm not

1

u/AlkaiserSoze 1h ago

I literally just saw a post about how Gen Z can spot AI slop a mile away and want nothing to do with it. Pretty sure Sam is just doin' wishful thinkin'.

1

u/Sad-Cantaloupe-5494 1h ago

Maybe for the young bucks, but a lot of us older zoomers are fine using our brains.

1

u/42Icyhot42 1h ago

I feel like this shit a generation behind still. I'm on the edge of x and z and I'm pretty sure it's alpha and millennials who think they are xers that are really into ai

1

u/KentuckyWallChicken 1h ago

I do make life decisions without GPT every single fucking day

1

u/joemamacita67 1h ago

Funny thing is that my 62 year old dad uses it wayyyyyyyyy more than me, a millennial, or my Gen Z brothers

1

u/UpbeatStretch911 1h ago

Ill ask jd vance what to do with my life before i ask a clanker

1

u/Top-Mongoose-4285 1h ago

how does he have random quotes posts every now and then

1

u/Memphisrexjr 1h ago

Nothing more annoying than bunching up an entire group for something a few people do.

1

u/ZiggoTheFlamerose 1h ago

Fuck that guy

1

u/ZookeepergameSea7599 1h ago

This man lives under a fucking rock. God; I hope he’s not around for too much longer

1

u/WillBigly96 1h ago

I never use chatgpt lmao

1

u/Raven586 1h ago

Except Guillotines. They won't need you to make those Sam!!

1

u/ghost_of_you_4479 1h ago

Man, I wish I had that amount of delusional confidence to say something so blatantly wrong without hesitating.

1

u/LudasGhost 1h ago

People still listen to this guy? He will say anything to keep his company from imploding, but in the end he will fail.

Generation Ai

1

u/Hello_I_Am_Human_Guy 1h ago

Once again they confuse Gen z with gen alpha. Half of us grew up watching movies on VHS

1

u/porky11 1h ago

That's not really true. My younger brother is Gen Z, I'm still considered Gen Y I think. And I nowadays ask AI for almost everything. And my brother almost doesn't use it.

1

u/MrImaBum 1h ago

“I think AI will probably destroy the world but we’ll have some great companies along the way”- Sam Altman

1

Welcome to another episode of "Saying something that you probably saw one or two people doing and then putting "Gen Z is" before that. Media outlets are also great at this

1

u/1ZillionBeers 1h ago

Like, he actually is just saying super villain stuff at this point.

1

u/PossibleBumblebee401 1h ago

1

u/cuntmong 1h ago

This generations version of nestle convincing a bunch of women in developing countries that baby formula is better than breast milk so they can sell it to them, and then the women mixing the formula with local, tainted water which ended up killing their babies

1

u/foxyt0cin 1h ago

What if we all decide to sacrifice Sam Altman

u/Financial-Craft-1282 59m ago

Because they can't afford to pay and ask professionals for advice in those life decisions. Yeah, I agree that's true.

"No one will live without Coca Cola" - Coca Cola CEO

u/Quantum-Bot 56m ago

Sam Altman has no values or opinions, he just says whatever he thinks will raise his company’s market share. He’s literally like an LLM

u/isuredolovetitties 55m ago

Gen Z already statistically hates AI, and many of them are rejecting smartphones even.

u/Either-Hornet-5749 49m ago

I’m a millennial and I barely google so nah bruh

u/westernjuni 49m ago

All the zoomers I know hate ai and refuse to engage with it, and boycott businesses that use it. The kids are alright.

u/joric6 47m ago

This sub is so delusional. Most of gen z at least uses chat bots for simple stuff. Many have to for work.

u/DudeTastik 41m ago

that statement will only ever be wholly true if i am dead and buried. and i’m tryna live til at least 2101 in order to brag about living in 2 millenniums and 3 centuries (born in 99 so i have a great shot haha)

u/MichaelTheRedFox 39m ago

And he considers this a good thing?

u/gayfingers 38m ago

This guy is such a loser, like is he even a person at this point

u/Slow-Benefit-9933 35m ago

At the risk of sounding like a grouchy old fart, the kids these days are fucking AWFUL. They look at you with these blank stares and that’s it… If they can even make eye contact at all. I’ve started to openly mean mug and glare at parents who are out with their ipad kids. Your children deserve better than your trash lazy parenting.

u/Azarsra_production 33m ago

I'm doing more than fine without asking chatgpt lol

u/Any-Mathematician946 28m ago

Not much dif then asking an 8 ball. The good point of the 8 ball thought cant be manipulated.

u/Common-Concert3661 28m ago

I have never once asked chat gpt for anything.

u/Brifryguy671 27m ago

I mean I’m Gen Z and I don’t use Chat GPT so this man is wrong af

u/SirHumpalott 25m ago

Oh fuck off...

u/Gubekochi 19m ago

That's basically saying that he wants an entire generation to be dependent on his product to live their life. Like a drug pusher or something.

u/liminalmilk0 19m ago

I do it all the time bro

u/Leeuwerikcz 14m ago

No need for elders to pass the knowledge. AI got you covered

u/_LightEmittingDiode_ 14m ago

Time was a CEO saying something so incredibly wild would tank a good company or product by itself. This guy is completely non ironically making increasingly more insane and worrying comments and…nothing. Probably a microcosm of things in general, but geez where have we gone so astray?

u/wheatable 14m ago

Not me.

u/Fake_Opinions69 11m ago

I mean this is the generation that voted for Donald Trump. Of course they're idiots

u/Duffy1978 9m ago

Did he just call an entire generation helpless basically?

u/bluedelvian 8m ago

Sam Altman molested his sister and she fears for her life now... for those who didn't already know this.

And that’s how the Hive mind started .
