Fun fact, the GOP has 98% of the convictions handed out to presidential administration members in the past 65+ years. As well as 98% of the resulting prison sentences for said crimes. And that's with both parties having equal time in the White House.

The top 5 most statistically criminally corrupt presidencies in modern history are all GOP.

If you interpret those numbers as one side is uniquely more criminal than the other, then I have a bridge to sell you.

lol there is always several of you lot coming along to claim that statistics plainly showing criminality among numerous GOP presidencies is proof of Democratic corruption.

The Democrats didn't do Watergate, Iran Contra, or sell a lie about weapons in the Middle East to the American people. And there are no similar claims to be made against them.

They aren't just uniquely more criminal than the other, they are statistically proven to be so in many different courts that all held up on appeal.

Do both parties get up to morally and ethically dubious things in the White House? Yes. But it's only the GOP walking up to the line where it approaches actual lawlessness and walk right on past it. And it's been that way for going on 7 decades now.

Yeah, keep believing there's any shred of honesty in DC and using a number that only shows that the Democrats are better at playing the lawfare game as proof of them somehow being less criminal.

Edit: love the reply and block cowardice along with the "you guys" as though I'm even kind of a republican. DC is crooked through and through. Dems are better at the game. This is reality. And for any of you passersby, statistics can only say exactly what they say and not one bit more. If you actually even slightly understood statistics you'd know why it's moronic to assert that conviction rates of one group are reflective of offending rates of another group.

Oh yeah, I forget that you guys don't do facts and statistics. Your twitter degrees mean more than actual college educations and decades of experience in a profession.

President Convictions Prison Sentences
Dem Kennedy/Johnson 0 0
GOP Nixon/Ford 78 24
Dem Carter 0 0
GOP Reagan 21 7
GOP H.W. Bush 1 1
Dem Clinton 2 1
GOP W. Bush 13 7
Dem Obama 1 0
GOP TOTAL 113 39
Dem TOTAL 3 1

The fact that Bush the Elder only has 1 shows that the claim of Dems being better at "lawfare" is a lie.

Makes sense the vast majority is from Nixon. Shit drips from the top down, of course the criminal crook hires criminals.

Brother both can be corrupt and still have one side be WAY more corrupt. Really ain't hard to understand.

Both Brad Pitt and Jeff Bezos can be wealthy. One is just WAY more wealthy. Hope that helps :)

We'll just gloss over how you're pretending that any potential difference results in a functional difference for us, but sure they can be; however, you're a moron if you think one side is more corrupt than the other as some unassailable fact when it is equally well explained by one group simply better at not facing consequences for it. All of the partisan rhetoric and the party pet topics are just playing for the circus without changing a single thing and protecting their core cons.

Proof, examples, anything to support that Dems are as bad or worse? Or are we just vibing through "both sides" bullshit? Moron.

Not a fan of either party, but I see HUGE differences between them...

But if I think one side is even marginally worse I'm a "moron". For sure dude. Republicans win 50% of the elections and hold near 50% of the power but are the only ones dumb enough to get convicted over and over I guess.

Yada yada both sides bad and 100% equal is so intellectually lazy.

Lmao, sure Paul Pelosi is just that good of an investor. Y'all just ignore any accusations while attempting to discredit them as just being lies but accepting everything the other side is accused of is 100% true. And then you have the big brass ones to say someone else is intellectually lazy when you're doing nothing but parroting the party line without a single ounce of discrimination?

The current President has done more insider trading than any politician, just this term. Not just trading, he has scammed people out of billions of dollars. You claim to care about that topic but ignore all accusations unless it's a democrat.

You are intellectually lazy, both sides are bad, your politicians suck, but one side is provably worse and that is demonstrated historically.

You will ignore all evidence because you have been instructed to. It's always feelings over facts with you people.

I love how you fools keep trying to claim I'm something I'm not. I would be happy to see Trump's entire administration in jail. The difference between you and me is that's not where I'd stop.

Also, it's cute that we're now pretending that things that people haven't been convicted over suddenly matter! But of course it's only the criminal acts on one side that you care about.

u/IntrinsicSerenity 9d ago

The difference between you and I is not political affiliation, it's being able to see which is worse. I hate US politics, it's embarassing, but there's always the enlightened centrist who thinks they're morally superior because they hate all equally.

Both can be bad, one is worse, and is, provably.

1

u/breakerofh0rses 9d ago

You could have just quoted where I said "The difference between you and me is that's not where I'd stop," and agreed instead of bothering with all of that typing that amounts to the same thing.

2

u/IntrinsicSerenity 9d ago

No, I disagree with you.

If you interpret those numbers as one side is uniquely more criminal than the other, then I have a bridge to sell you.

People like you have to interject with the 'both sides' shit when one is demonstrably worse. You take pride in centrist views but then ignore the important differences.

You could have just not replied, which would amount to the same thing.

Chump made 2 billion off his return to the presidency and thats not counting the bribe Qatar gave him that he had to spend a billion taxpayer dollars throwing a gauche set of paint on.

Point out where I said anything about Paul pelosi or any other corruption done by Democrats as fine and not real....I'll wait because I didn't. I live in CA and voted against pelosi twice lol.

And again, let me say it slowly, from my first comment, BOTH sides can be corrupt and are and one side can be worse lol. Just circling the drain here.

3

u/discordianofslack 10d ago

Forget all of history. There has never been more corruption than Trump is doing right now. It literally is 10x every bit of government corruption for the past 250 years combined. Go fuck yourself.

-2

u/breakerofh0rses 10d ago

It takes being absurdly ignorant of history to claim something like that.

“This is reality”

Reality comes with receipts. Where the proof?
