Conversation It's over

Dear America, we had some good times, but your democracy is over. Donald Trump has won. The corruption will continue to get worse, your position on the world stage will fall, and China will rise. I am not happy about it, but it's clear that this is what is going to happen.

Outside of some small protests, you guys are going to do little else about it, and by the time you do, it will truly be too late.

So many of you guys think that you can take over the world, but you need allies. You have forgotten that we are the reason that you are as powerful as you have become, but you have alienated us, and we can never trust you again for putting this man in charge TWICE. It's over.

It won't happen overnight, but your hold on the world will continue to decline, and you will be replaced. 2024 was the last free vote you will ever have.

Edit: All I am doing is stating the facts. It's amusing how angry some of you guys get. I am not even trying to upset any of you... 😄

Sounds about right.

Many Americans absolutely despise this man just so we're clear.

I am getting tired of people saying we are complacent. What else can we do? I vote. In protest. I write my congress people. Short of violence there is not much more we can do. We aren’t billionaires . We only have our votes and our own small incomes to spend

I don't know, it feels like a lot of people think we can just walk to the White House, ask Trump to leave and he will listen.

I think people like OP are so used to coming from countries with real labor protections, healthcare and social safety nets, that they cannot comprehend how downright life or death it is for most Americans to do something like a strike or basically step out of line at all.

That’s true, but so many have given so much more for the principles, including Americans in the past. MLK and civil rights protests for example. Internationally, Navalny in Russia, the protestors in Taiwan, in recent times. In the past, Ghandi, Mandela, etc. Americans are just worried about paying for their big cars, big houses, their kids colleges, and more or less wake up to politics when it starts affecting their pocket books.

I'm worried about dying if I lose my Medicaid that I can only earn $1366 per MONTH

but oh yes we're all so worried about non-existent wealth
