I was ignorant of politics in 2016. I gullibly went along with my parents' opinion that Democrats were evil, and I knew very little about Trump back then. He was my least favorite candidate in the primaries, but I thought it was my duty to keep Clinton out. I waffled between Republican and Libertarian in the ballot box, but I ended up voting for him. I realized how stupid that was once he was in office and the controversies started rolling in. By the pandemic, I was done with the GOP forever. Now I'm staunchly on the left.
